Anonymous, 12 Nov 2015It's been a while since I've used Firefox, I'll admit, but ... moreI tried them, if you have any recommendations for any skins or themes I may change my mind and give it another whirl. Never said FF was a bad browser in fact its quite powerful, just not easy on the eyes. Currently I'm using Vivaldi beta on Linux and Windows with all my Chrome extensions loaded and working because I got tired of Chrome's oversimplicity and lack of unique features.

PeterBZE, 12 Nov 2015You have to remember about people around the world don't ha... moreIt's safe to assume that a good portion of XP users either pirated it or got one of those internal Microsoft keys and get continuous free updates on their Windows 7 U PC like me. Your PC can't be that crappy where it can't even run 7, which is pretty stable and still efficient. They can at least "upgrade" to it, it has official support and updates till 2020 unlike XP which ended a while back, and just to put it out there screw 10 and its mobile centric interface.

AnonD-463876, 11 Nov 2015Not to mention FF is fugly and their extensions look like crap. It's been a while since I've used Firefox, I'll admit, but hasn't it always had support for skins, so the "fugliness" is entirely avoidable

Great that you can upgrade but your crappy computer that your get rid of may mean a lot as the price on import and export raises the price. Killing us too to get great stuff.

AnonD-60230, 11 Nov 2015Firefox is still there Google! don't worryAnd FF isn't? Isn't that the reason why so many people decided to ditch them for Chrome in the first place?

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2015Agree. What with people liking Firefox so much? That browse... moreRight now using firefox with 5 tabs and a s**tload of addons only 250mb of ram used. There is only one Firefox process on the task manager.
Same thing with chrome and you have about 20 processes open with ram usage being 15-50mb for each extension process and 100-150mb for each tab process.

Back in the day chrome used to be the ultimate browser for being ridiculously fast and light compared to others. Right now chrome has become very bloated and a resource hog.

I am using firefox because I don't want chrome eating up my ram for no reason and because the unsigned extensions aren't blocked to hell. Currently on chrome you need to unpack an unsigned extension before installing it, and you can never update it, only reinstall it. You also get a pop-up "kindly" informing you that you have dev-mode extensions enabled by not letting you do anything else before clicking one of its buttons. To hell with chrome already!

Eske Rahn, 11 Nov 2015Totally agree. It seems a silly move, given that over 10% ... moreHow will that happen if more companies don't do what Google and Microsoft are doing, which is officially ending support for these obsolete OS's. XP is well over a decade old! Not their fault people are stubborn and too cheap to upgrade.
