Most of the folks in this forum talk as if all the apps in their phones have stopped working as soon as Google releases the next version of android. And their phones have to be thrown into dustbin if they don't get latest android update. Stable OS (even if old) is useful for end users than buggy/unstable latest version. I agree, stable and latest version is even better, but it takes time and you should be ready to wait. People just don't get this.

as i can see kitkat is still the best os android based.....it can be use on 512 mb ram devices smooth..so what about lollipop or marshmallow 1 gb atleast...._

Received the Android M update for MOTO X Style today morning. Did check it manually at software updates n then received the notification to update the device. All the features mentioned in the release note were noticeably available.. The update has taken away a couple of features. Only value addition looks to be the doze mode, but will only know how good the update really is after a few days use. But otherwise don't see much of a value addition. Wait n watch..

i got my marshmallow update on my moto x style and first i did not update that,after checking again it is showing that "your device is up to date" but im still in 5.1.1.any one know why?

Lenovo Have made a bad decision by not giving 6.0 update to phone like motor e2 and some other worthy devices.. Google should have not sold Motorola the Lenovo

Updates normally are over hyped and results into making your smooth running device laggy...
Do not update to next version unless it some improvement in existing version, say Android 5.0 to 5.1...5.2 and so on but 6.0 pls be cautious.

For anyone who hatea iphone and love android. You just buy nexus devices. It's like apple iphone in android world. Wish all android fanboys buy nexus devices all together so samsung, sony etc know the customers need fast updates. Man i just wish all android phone makers just put a stock android in their phones instead. Imagine gaalxy s6 specs with stock android. It will beat the nexus's ass

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2015Thats because android updates need to be tweaked for each c... moreyou are right nexus are fast with updates ... i choosed this G2 because i like they battery backup,size of the device along with good camera and software tricks like knock on wich is excellent for me and im used to it .....problem that makes me get mad is that lg different from other manufactures doesnt provide a list of devices that will be updated they never mentioned anything... people can guess but not make sure... why i say this is because g4 and g3 were spotted on t-mobile network with 6.0 suppoirt and gflex2 and v10 are new enough for such an upgrade ....even midrange g4stylus will get it.....but is that short the list ,....that might be the reason they never gave info..... sd800 on G2 is as fast as the one found on nexus 5 ..but with diferrence that g2 is better for everything exept updates...
