Symbian^3 demoed, promises to deliver what users expect

If Nokia built the type of device with full PC functionality and be able to communicate it with local Tvs and projectors its literally making that device we were all dreaming of. Carry it into your pocket, take it out and expand the screen everything, in your pocket. Imagine this having a full scale gaming console in your pocket have it all syncronised with the internet. Play it on your mobile, or get home and stream it all through wifi and bluetooth to the TV.(BT v3 in N8)
Imagine, business users, settling at any hotel and getting internet through wifi and plugging the screen into the TV, hey presto! Online video conference over large screen in your pocket, from anywhere.
This is what I think Nokia is trying to do.
But they get it done before people get sick of the font.

Symbian as an operating system is very buggy (putting it politely). One of the biggest bugbears of it is that constantly it stops you sending texts. This is across all manufacturers and only reinstalling/updating the software will sort it. I work in the telecommunications industry and know this first-hand. I do hope that they sort this issue, otherwise there is no point in this planned update.

You don't have to go far with Nokia to see their innovative flaws. Why do they like to keep that date icon on 12 and not reflecting the current date? Did they invent it on the 12th or some year? Fonts aren't a safe bet for attractiveness which is why most phones do with widgets and icons without them. There is this invented notion that people like to see their contacts faces! Why not something similar to the Maemo UI?

Symbian^3 is NOT meant to show anything new/groundbreaking/innovative AT ALL. IT IS DESIGNED TO BRING SYMBIAN BACK UP-TO-DATE. As of right now, Symbian is out of date, Symbian^3 is simply meant to bring it to a level where everyone EXPECTS it to be.
When Symbian^4 rolls around, that is when we will be seeing new features. Even so, keep in mind, Nokia is NOT presenting a NEW OS here - it's still Symbian! You guys are acting like this HAS to be something COMPLETELY new; but it's not, it's still the same tried and true platform, yet it's being upgraded in terms of usability.
Most of you guys are taking this completely out of context.

Wait for Meego people, symbian just doesn't cut it these days, just can't compete with android, htc sense, iphone os. Gotta compare symbian to them, nokia is making the most money out of the phone business, they should have something better than boring old symbian. Even symbian3 doesn't look all that promising.

nokia fan, 13 Mar 2010lets face the truth and stop living in a dream world iphone... moreI use n5800xm CIS2, first nokia come out on market, at begining there was not much adopted software for it ewen they worket partly, but now software is updated wery well v40, and lot off software to chose and most is for free.
Now nokia is fast tor that purpose and software is built for it, i play 3D DOM, sims 3D and menu other games wery good, multitasking runing several apps at the same time, lisning to music in background and playing game on screen or multi chat connection and surf the web and lisning to music and if my friends call me than i just answer the phone and talk with loudspeaker without interupting my apps i em runing already..lol.
Your f++ing iphone can't do nothing like that, nothing at all, it's stum iphone...lol
