16 November, 2015
However, the Apple A9 still packs the heaviest punch per core.

Anonymous, 16 Nov 2015GSM always posts positive info on thus comp, plus Real Worl... moreWell the article did say these numbers are mainly for show and bragging rights. I agree with you on the last part Snapdragons with custom core designs are fantastic for real world usage and performance, I have yet to encounter a serious issue with mine.

Bechmark were made to measure how good is the chip.
And it is important to hard core user and high end gamer.

JD, 16 Nov 2015To start with, there are only few apps in Google Play store... moreYou can check a lot of usage statistics and you will see the same thing I did,a lot of apps use more than 2 cores easily and yeah with an good usage percent or take advantage of the more modern octacores and use 4 cores + but with an lower usage(This is pretty obvious "cortex a53 " and dual clusters)

@Xtremist Do you have a Samsung device? No or you had before 3 year ego. I have an A3 for 5 months and I don't have any lags. Every new S line is far better than predecessor and the same will be with S7.

JD, 16 Nov 2015To start with, there are only few apps in Google Play store... moreThats just not true, most apps can utilize multiple core and android itself is multi-threaded by design.

Secondly, the reason for UI lag is the way android is built not the lack of ressources.

Doesnt matter. Samsung will find some bloatwares , S-something to slow down the real world performance.

no matter whatever scores Samsung achieved in benchmarks, still its real time performance is laggy.

ichan, 16 Nov 2015I dont think benchmark are accurateI agree. Android manufacturers have been cheating on benchmarks since the beginning. I only trust real life unbiased comparison. Most of them shows the obvious, the latest chip will be fastest (on android) in real life and it's a different comparison when compared to ios.

To start with, there are only few apps in Google Play store that fully utilze more than 1 core at a time. Not even OS itself is doing this properly. Second, the most important Benchmark is single core benchmark as this is true real life preformance of 99.9% of apps in both, App Store an Play Store.

My opinion is yes Apple seems to be fast on single core but also the software is different. Android being an open source also makes it hard to optimize when you have mulitple OEMs with a little less access than apple has with their software and hardware
