Also, processors are proven to double in speed and decrease in size every two years. Therefore, considering the number of manufacturers manufacturing mobile devices, it won't take more than 4 months for any "new" device to seem slower than newer ones.
There is also the consideration of newer apps being able to use more resources, since newer devices are more capable, so older phones running newer apps will be slower as they won't be able to handle the load in the same way.

Huge screen, week ba... moreseriously samsung already had a large table before the ipad pro, if you actually read about the product instead of being a sheep. you would know this was geared towards multimedia and such. just like the camera is geared towards things like skype. all in all i see it being a very nice niche device.

There is a secret about Samsung. It intentionally designs and creates devices that work smoothly for 12 months. After this set time period, the devices will automatically slow down and get stuck very often. Psychologically, it encourages people to update their versions or change a new device.

Pedram_GL, 16 Nov 2015the most illogical gadget of all time! Huge screen, week ba... moreBattery is 3S (11.1V) unlike other phones and tablets that use 1S (3.7V), so its as a 3.7V 5700x3= 17100Mah. If you read the specs it says : Non-removable Li-Ion 5700 mAh battery (64 Wh, 11.3V) and the specs for I-pad pro battery says : Non-removable Li-Ion 10,307 mAh battery (38.8 Wh). So you can see that a 10.307Mah 3.7V Gives 38.8Wh(Watt per Hour) and a 5700 11.1V gives 64Wh (almost Double) because of Voltage. Samsung Uses 11.1Volt Battery because of Lower Amperage/Better Wattage output for the huge screen. Lion & some Phone Li-po batteries can't give more than 2C Amperage. That means a 5000Mah battery can't give more than 2x5amps = 10 Amps x 3.7Volt = 37Watt continuously. If we Use a 3S Battery (11.1V) we have for the same 5000Mah Battery 2 x 5Amps=10Amps x 11.1Volt = 111Watt. By the way a 3S Battery weights 3x the 1S Battery On same Mah size. So we use a smaller Mah Battery with higher Voltage. Some Laptops and netbooks use 2S batteries 7.4V.
