I was really wanted them to do a metal body and a removable back just like LG Class. Hope its not true.

Hope LG keeps the micro-sd card option even if they are moving to Unibody metal build. Also expecting a lot of UI changes which was a major issue with mobiles like G4 and V10.

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2015Indeed, my 5yr-old Samsung Galaxy S3 still usable without ... moreSame here with my S3 buddy :) I love Versatile phones like the Sammy S3 & LG G4.

They should really pass an E-waste law to stop this disposable phones trend by whoever started it. it's both wasteful and pointless and just gives the phone an expiry date, plus a guaranteed future visit to the service center.

It will be better if LG tries to incorporate hall sensor and a glove mode in its upcoming flagship devices. I own a G3 and especially during winter it's difficult to use the phone when Ian outside while wearing a glove. Last but not the least, a progressive evolution is always expected. The main reason I switched over from Samsung to LG was that Samsung simply started to cutoff certain provisions which they thought unnecessary. To mention a few FM radio, IR blaster, Replacable battery, Micro sad slot, also certain useful sensors like hygrometer and thermometer... I hope LG doesn't commit same mistakes as its rival did.

Just move the speaker to the from please.

Well there goes extended batteries and snapon covers. Real shame if this turns out to be true, was expecting the s820 to be a real heavy weight and the g5 to be the succesor to the g3 and g4, not a step back to the g2.

Speaking of premium, the real definition of premium phone these days mean less features and pay more and more. Now this G5 step what they will do is simply seal the battery, remove SD card and make the screen more narrower like S6 and 6S.The same step taken by galaxy S6 and continuing new generations with this design language. I think G4 and V10 will be the last legends of LG same like samsung's last legends were note 4 and note edge.

Metal body didnt stop Sony and HTC of using sd cards, its just a poor excuse from Apple and their official copy machine Samsung to sell their highest capacity and overpriced models...
The mobile industry proved that combinations of metal and glass bring the highest premium results and this is what LG is aiming at with G5, the G4 looks less of a flagship than G3, which simulated metal in plastic.
Whatever they do, hopefully this time it weill have decent battery performance, ever since the G2, the have the worse in the industry, just like the old times, this is why i always stood clear of LG phones in the past and i wont touch any untill they fix this!

Does that mean Samsung will be the only one left with wireless charging? Yes I know it's theoretically possible to implement wireless charging with a metal back. I also know nobody has done it due to costs and efficiency.

I will rather see the materials used on the V10...giving us the ability for removable Battery and SD card expansion. Again i don't care much for the second screen...they rather leave that out for the G5.
OR they should make two versions one with all metal and the other a V10 look alike.

                                  bye bye sd cards

what made me not buy lg g4 was the audio quality. it has very good design ( the leather one). if they can have lg g5 with optional leather back with ESS DAC like v10 I will take the g5. otherwise I will stick to galaxy s7 or next HTC flagship.

Just make another which can outrun G2 on battery endurance & please design a better UI! Everything else is fine!
