they require third party manufacturers to join them and sell their hardware with nvidia arm cpus

Well root it, sideload apps, do what the heck you want.
If launched in india pls let the price be near 15k.

The shield is a beast yes, but it runs Android at the end of the day nonetheless. This will forever be a deal breaker for people like myself.

Yeah is gonna be Apple PiPP!N all over again! Without steam and grid support this is gonna apple as game console is worth $399 (apple tax) + $0 (actual value). At least shield as some core games like half-life series, portal series, doom 3, hotline miami, talos principle, resident evil 5, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, etc

Let that soak in. Next up, dev's don't like Android. esp when it comes to gaming titles, which get ported from iOS exclusives up to a year later at times, if ever.

Wow this is extremely cheap, pity it runs Android, as I'm allergic to anything Android. Hope Apple makes a dedicated gaming controller for the Apple TV soon :)
