Not sure why but they love to release low end smartphones with 16GB internal storage and 2GB RAM. Those specs are about 4 years old now.

HTC is releasing too much flagship phones. M9 has a flagship SoC but lacks in camera and display. M9+ has a better display and but lacks in SoC. A9 has a good camera but lacks in processing power, design and no bommsound speakers. Looks like the M9S uses the A9's camera and uses the M9+'s processor and M9's display and design.

I don't want to spoil things but it looks like only Apple and Microsoft have any direction at all. Unfortunately not the direction that I'm going for. :-(
We're doomed. At least HTC ditched the ridiculous QHD-screens so framerates for video and games will be up on this one.

I love HTC as a brand. I own a HTC One M8 and love the phone. But bringing out a HTC One M9s is pointless. There are other HTC phones that have better specs and are at a cheaper price.
This phone is 100% pointless.

Don't do this.
If you like Ultrapixel then I suggest you to Pick M9+. It's much better option than M9.
1. Ultra Pixel, Depth Sensor (Like M8)
2. Finger Scanner (For unclocking)
3. Octacore Processor, 3GB ram
Think about this advice. I'm also HTC fan and using M8. Highly satisfied and can't even think to go anywhere else. I wish they bring wireless charging and finger scanner in M10 because that's the only thing lacking in their flagship M9.

I have the m7 for 2years now .. i was going to buy m8 last year but i waited for m9 ..as you all know m9 comes with a awful 20mega pixel camera and now this stupid phones like m9s m9+ ..im not going to wait any longer .im going to but blackburry priv or galaxy s6edge .sorry htc..you did this to me .

I don’t agree with all the variations of the m9. Crazy stuff.
However I have to say that I just received my A9 from the USA in Australia today and it is F..k… amazing. It is hyper loads better than the GSM arena picture by a long shot. It is so sleek, so masculine. The critics were right about its look and feel. It is the best looking mobile phone I have ever seen. Seriously it is. Way way past my expectations. I wanted an apple look but I got so much better. This is the best mobile purchase I have made in 4 years. Now . . .i can finally see what the guys in the launch were excited about. The marshmallow on top and that screen. Stunning!! Do I sound excited. You bet. Well earnt HTC well earnt.
