Newest Samsung Gear VR goes up for pre-order in Europe

After the US, the 'consumer version' Gear VR headset is now available for order in Europe, too - pre-orders are live in Germany, where Samsung's official website has the device listed for €99 with early December shipping.

          You just need to relax. The large pixel just go away with good content. In the same way as old tube TV's did.

            Great. I can't wait to get my hands on Samsung's VR machine so I can experience real life via the virtual world in my bedroom.

                I'm wondering what's the difference between this one and the old one for SGS6-Users. It's lighter and compatible to other devices. But what else? Is it worth to switch? I've also seen pictures of the new one without the top strap only. This would be a disadvantage.

                    I tried Gear VR with Samsung Galaxy S6 and I liked it, but my main concern is low visual resolution - pixels all over the image. I believe it'll work better with full 4k screen, or full-hd-esque resolution for each eye separately. Current-gen resolution is just too small, considering how close these pixels sit to your eyes and the fact they're amplified by lenses. The image is very pixelated, and I'm afraid no new Gear VR can change it - its the device's screen that has small amount of large pixels, not GearVR itself.
