Leica announces the Leica M (Typ 262)

Leica has announced the newest member of its rangefinder-style cameras, the Leica M (Typ 262). With this, Leica aims to bring the focus back on photography.

Have the M 240, believe me its one of the best camera that I ever use.
It has many limitation, but produce great picture.

    Poor souls are so funny,this camera will sell by 1000's,of course not for everybody pocket...and price is without lenses...at this level photograph becomes art, not some gimmick out of a vulgar Iphone...

        What a waste of money. A retro style, dumbed down camera for old fogies.
        Give me an iphone or latest android anyday.

          This is roughly the equivalent of trying to keep selling WWI-era cloth-wrapped bi-planes in the era of jet travel. It is sure to attract _some_ nostalgic customer niche but can never hope to be anything other than a curiosity ever again. In this case - a blisteringly expensive curiosity too.
