Having peek and pop active plus extra handling required by pressure sensitive screen and extra os features other than peek and pop require more ram. iPhone Os and hardware is maxed out working in harmony with each other. Hardware and software others can't compete with. Who has a pressure sensitive screen and software combined that works well? No one other than Apple. Wait till you see the iPhone 7s

Lol...this has got to be funny. As any real Apple fan would know, this is as fake as fake could get. Just got an upgrade to 2GB Ram and already talking about 3GB?? Seriously? The waterproofing would be something to consider but NOT the Ram upgrade so quickly.

I think 32 GB of internal storage (instead of the current 16 GB version) on the basic model is way more important than 3 GB RAM on an iPhone today.

Apple seems to be behind the times b/c their upgrade cycle.
And by the they raise the bar with a new introduction on their new phone; it's already boring (for other brands); so they'll 'reinvent' it.
Still, I'll stick w/ my S6. Fingerprint scanner works excellent.

Would be quite funny, would apple use IPXX and sd while sammy S7 would be like in this year. Mainly when remembering their sd slot and waterproofing last year ads...

I remember getting my iPhone 4 and being amazed at how well the phone set itself apart from the competition. After heading to the Nexus line for a few years, and then getting an iPhone 6 I was so shocked and disappointed how little has changed.
Apple was always the company to take known concepts and transition them to the next level. Now all I see is them playing catch up. 3 GB ram and water proofing, if those are your "defining features" for the next iPhone then fine. I have no problem with that, their hardware always feels top tier. The biggest problem I had was the fact that I have been away from an Apple product for 4 years and the only difference I saw was a new line of apps I could put on each page - the EXACT same grid of apps starting from the top left and there is nothing else you can do. What's the point of having industry leading hardware when there is nothing you can do with it because of the limiting software? It's like having a Ferrari that can't exceed 60mph/100kmh. With 3GB of ram please allow me tools to define my phone with the intention of meeting my needs - calendars, to-do lists, sports scores IN FRONT OF ME, not just a grid of apps on every bloody page. Please Apple, step up your game. *end rant* Sincerely, a current Nexus 6P user that still has a soft spot for Apple's iPhone.

finally, apple is stepping it up, now all they need is a smaller footpring because even the iphone 6 is gigantic compared to phones with bigger screens and smaller bodys, and micro sd, front facing speakers, it might be until 2020 then when iphone catches up with sony devices.
