Returned my Lumia 950 XL today at the Microsoft store.
Things that made me return the Lumia 950 XL after I so wanted to keep this device.
One single issue is the largest of all. No Apple OSX tool to transfer content to and from the phone. An app did exist this summer when I tried out a less expensive Lumia 521 (WP8), but the app is gone from the Apple app store and the forums speculate it's because Microsoft has not submitted an updated app to the Apple store. Without the ability to easily transfer content to and from the phone, this downside is a HUGE issue. Using some networked based storage as a relay is not an option for a device that cost $689.56 USD.
The second big fail was having to wait over 30 days for the dock. Continuum is the single feature, even if not perfect would have made me ignore all the other gripes and keep the phone. I had 30 days to return the phone and if not able to experience Continuum until after the window to return the phone ended, it was a deal breaker for me.
Hardware:
Hunting for the middle button to sleep and wake is an annoyance. If there was only one button on the right for power and the volume rockers were on the left then sleep and wake would be easier. I keep hitting the volume up button instead of the power button.
No notification LED.
Email:
No unified inbox for the built in email application.
BIG-ONE, Even though the preference download all images is checked off only senders in my contacts will display all the images.
Even a message sent from the phone to myself with an attached image will not display the attached picture until I tap the picture.
Using the LIGHT theme, there is not enough contrast when viewing the inbox to see which messages are NEW/UNREAD.
Apps:
The "HERE MAPS" was replaced by "Maps" which takes forever to download even the smallest of individual maps. Can't imagine how log it's going to take when all the maps have to be updated, probably a day.
Activating Cortana by voice is not consistent, sometimes three tries before it catches.
The "Lumia Offers" app once launched will hide the three (3) soft buttons so you can't hit the Home button. You have to sleep then wake to get back to the home screen.
Missing Apps:
The only Starbucks app, a 3rd party one was killed by Starbucks, I love Starbucks.
No visual voicemail app from T-Mobile to support the Windows 10 Mobile platform.
Misc:
Not a part of any mobile payments system yet.
No infrared like my other phone, a Samsung Galaxy Note 4, cant use the phone as a TV remote.
Expected a single sim model but received a dual-sim model, specs are slower data on DUAL-SIM verses SINGLE-SIM.
Can't disable the icon in the notification bar about the empty second sim slot, taking up valuable notification bar real-estate.
I can add items to the speed dial on the Phone app but can't delete an entry I just addedd.

While doing very little, when the screen is on, the unit is noticably warmer than every other phone I have owned.
WiFi disconnects when sleeping, doesn't connect reliably when powered back on.
The ( PHONE & MESSAGES ) desktop icons show unread items but all the items have been read.
There was a quick choice for "QUIET TIME" but I could not find where to enable it and be quiet between 10pm-6am. It maybe burried somewhere but it was just not very intuitive and easy to find.

Yeah, right. The moment they set their eyes on the "Microsoft ecosystem," they were so awestruck by this new, prior unheard-of ecosystem, and they were so dazzled by it, that they immediately dumped their iPhones and Androids in the trash can and made an instant switch to this amazing new ecosystem. Because we all know, five minutes with this amazing OS called Windows, and you're just going to be hooked to it.

Anonymous, 26 Nov 2015useless apps as usual on LumiasYou know, I always thought that it would be an excruciating experience moving away from my beloved Samsung Galaxy Android smartphone to a Windows Phone. But after getting hacked, due to Android's notorious poor security model, and Samsung's poor update policy, I decided enough was enough. I was tired of getting "Scroogled." Windows Phone, with its trusted security model that it brings from the Desktop version of Windows, seemed like a leap of faith, but I took it.
When I purchased my Microsoft Lumia 950 phone, I was skeptical, as I had only ever used popular iPhones made by Apple and Android Phones made by Samsung. I was worried that perhaps there would not be enough applications for my productive workflow. But I was won over by the incredible build quality, to include the brilliant AMOLED screen. I was floored by the speed of the user interface -- no lag, unlike all of the buggy Android phones that I had used. And while the "live tiles" took some getting used to, I found that they were much more informative and helpful than antiquated icons found on the competition.
As for the application gap -- well, honestly, there isn't one. I am a professional, and I've found that all of the productive applications that I need, including Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Skydrive, are available on my Lumia 950. Indeed, this is a seemless experience that blends in with the beautiful Windows Phone interface. I have also found that most programs for which an application does not exist, will work perfectly using the new Edge browser, the newest mobile browser on the block. Such is the case with my bank, which works faster in Edge than any mobile application on Android.
To sum it up: It's been a few weeks now, and I'm thoroughly impressed. I bought the Microsoft Lumia 950XL (the larger version) for my spouse, and now all of my friends want to transition to the Microsoft ecosystem as well. It's no longer about "application count" but about productivity and workflow. I've found that Microsoft allows me to remain productive in ways that Android and the iPhone could not. Businesses all over the world have relied on Microsoft for their critical infrastructure for years ... now it's time for business professionals to trust in Microsoft for their mobile needs. Give it a try -- you just might be impressed!

In some cases unlocked is used to describe a phone that was previously locked to a network and has had the lock removed. No need to be so pedantic.
