AnonD-249778, 29 Nov 2015Instagram=6tag, its a great third party app for IG and much... moreIt's sad that you have to rely on 3rd party apps, they should be an alternative to the main app which nobody wants to release on Windows phones cause of it's low user base, devs go where the people go it's just logical. And stock is the way to go, clean, sleek and best of all it's lag free, even most skinned Android phones run fast today like the latest Samsung devices, imagine what the S7/Note 6 is going to be like; you're using a very poor and outdated argument.

People who are complaining about windows phone you have to remember if there is any OS that runs without lag it's windows phone.

For your concerns guys, windows 10 mobile isn't ready yet so don't judge it as a complete & final OS.

As is the source code to Chromium and the ChromiumOS. Google contributes directly to libc on OpenBSD. They contribute directly to the Linux kernel, having provided most recently, new filesystem encryption. They also paid money to purchase a video codec, then released the source for free for everybody to use. Apple contributes source directly to FreeBSD development, which powers your Playstation 4, and also powers the ZFS filesystem in datacenters, which you would never know about because you have never worked on any technology that you can't buy at BestBuy.

What has Microsoft contributed? Absolutely nothing. Microsoft is not an open company. Maybe they are trying to get there, but it's too little, too late. C# is dying faster than anything else out there.

Seriously that's really weak, color and font what else you got? And app support is even weaker, in fact I just read an Extremetech article that said Windows phones apps are disappearing because developers that have previously been maintaining Windows Phone apps are losing interest, and in some cases dropping support altogether. Plus it doesn't have (or un-updated) many of the most popular apps like Snapchat, Instagram, Yahoo mail, Tinder, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Gapps and so on.

                                    LOL.

Can I download the source to Windows Phone? How do I unlock the bootloader on Windows Phone, so that I can set up ad blocking at layer 4 using a hosts file?

Also, please list the "open" contributions that Microsoft has made to free software over the last few years. A kernel mod for better Azure support? Cross compilation for Linux and UNIX-based in Visual Studio, finally, in 2015? Apple and Google have been there going on two decades.

You really have no idea what you are talking about. Helping mom with Facebook does not make you an IT professional. I'm sure you feel good about yourself, in your echo chamber of Windows enthusiasts though.

I want to try the latest build in the insiders program on my lumia 730 dual sim. Do you think that it is stable enough to risk on my primary phone?

I still need both sims to work. In South Africa. That may make a difference.
