Lag here, lag there, lag everywhere...you people want lag? Use anything from 2011.

Most phones today (regardless of OS) are way faster and smoother than anything from four years ago. And please don't use entry-level phones if you want less lag.

mas39, 28 Nov 2015As per usual benchmarks are useless, so is too much power. ... moreSd820 actually has less features thet is relevant for mobile, Exynos is not only more powerful but also have the latest LTE chip, more powerful video processing, more efficient, and also can support UFS 2.0 wh8ch is the fastest storage right now.

As per usual benchmarks are useless, so is too much power. SD820 will still be the best as it will provide more features relevant to a mobile device, power is a completely useless attribute in a mobile chipped. Of course sad Sammy factors will think otherwise but that doesn't surprise any of us does it.

The problem with Samsung handset is not the specs. The specs are top notch. The problem ire their laggy Touchwiz and bloatware.

we don't need high benchmark scores. we need less frequent lagging via optimization and a longer battery life.

Good for Samsung that it's Exynos chipset is ramping up to become an all time undivided success. Why then at all bother with Qualcomms Snapdragon? Why not just put the Exynos in all Samsungs smartphones?

Benchmark scoring is nothing , what is important is the daily user experience.
Samsung always tops the chart when it comes to benchmarking, but why is it that even ifs top speced flagship always experience lags, fast baterry draining, very poor ram managment and worst, poor software support.
True, samsung phones are good, but only in the beginning, but after few months, observe it, they start to manifest the aforementioned problems.
It is your choice to opt for any brand you want to buy, but as someone who have been consistently using samsung phones, i can discourage you to buy their phones.

exynos may be better but kirin are growing fast
They reduce the gap at each generation and they are already an important player. Chineese high tech compagnies should not be seen in a static way. They curb of growth is better that others, of course it becomes more and more difficult as you are closing to the top

All in all, all those new socs provide excellent performance overall.
for instance, I feel my note 4 is more responsive in net browsing than an old 2007 macbook
