NechPech, 01 Dec 2015Battery life on my s6 is crap. the battery on my iPhone 6+... moreBattery removal is essential if you wish to buy a premium flagship & keep it for several years, to be thrifty & make the most from your money spent... Whilst not a flagship, 3.5 years ago, I received a Lumia 820. I have just purchased a new battery to ensure it lasts another 3.5 years. Despite it's age it is due to receive Windows 10 in February, so why replace it?.... A REMOVABLE BATTERY SAVES MONEY!

Anonymous, 01 Dec 2015Have you seen the design of the Galaxy S6? Especially those... moreS6 was the same as s5 except it had a glass back, all other changes were a consequence of that (battery, micro SD). Apple doesn't have a monopoly on premium design, nor were they the first.

Fingerprint sensors were done in phone before Apple too.

Just more nonsense from an Apple fanboy.

I refuse to believe that a Chinese no name can pull it off but Samsung can't. Samsung wave is another metal phone with removable back... so Samsung could do it in the past.

Removable battery is more important that microsd even. It completely solves all mobility issues (you're never out of battery just by bringing a spare, "charging time" is 1 minute, 80 times faster than even the fastest charger). Also you never have to fear of a dying battery.

Samsung Project-Zero with Mr SKin in Charge really should that the Samsung mobile team just had the Apple iPhone 6 in the Minds All the Time instead of thinking about it Loyal Galaxy phone users,Samsung phones were popular because they offered the Removable Battery Option plus the Micro Sd Card Slot that Apple never offered, then All of sudden the Samsung design team removed these best selling options on the Galaxy S6 models & Note 5,which really upset most Galaxy phone users, but it looks now that Samsung have realised there big mistakes they made and are going to bring back the micro sd card slot on the Future Galaxy S7,just wish they would offer the removable battery as well, and instead of using Glass find another material that is Shatterproof and not a Fingerprint magnet

AnonD-259545, 01 Dec 2015*phone. Not mokeRemovable battery and microsd card slot are very good options but those options may affect the choice of materials. Adding a microsd slot isn't a problem but for a removable battery the phone needs a plastic back which for most people makes the phone "cheap".
I appreciate the design of lg v10 and i wish samsung go that way for their future smartphones.
If samsung could make a moke with removable metal back, big battery (3200mah,doesn't need to be slim) and a microsd slot and a stock android version of s7 that'd be great.

Samsung did the removable battery and used premiun in the ORIGINAL Galaxy Alphe
this did NOT have memory expansion
The "A" range reversed this ADDED memory expansion but sealed in the battery

Apple in esssence make various size memory cards you can make a call with.
Apple don't use memory cards just a bigger memory card/ phone that is also why HUGE profits
Imagine tv camera without a battery pack.

until the S5 it was iPhones and samsung Galaxys
Now Samsung made iphone S6 / S6+ is a premium build albeit iPhone

When reviewed any phone with sealed battery and no memory expansio is marked down on gsmarena
It afftect day to day use

When your battery is... moreWhen the battery dies during the day, I don't want to carry around a stupid battery pack charger, or pay the Samsung store a fortune for the "privilege" of 5 minutes work of replacing the battery when its life is over.

I would do it myself, but then Samsung wont sell me the battery directly, I have to pay through the teeth for the center to replace it..

All im hoping for is that note 6 is more like note 4 not like note 5. Ir blaster is an amazing thing, im saving small fortune on all the batteries for all the remotes at home. Removable battery means that my phone is never out of power. Sd slot means more storage than i really need. And that leather like grippy back cover just sticks to my hand as it should. Ive had note 2 3 and now 4, and i was amazed how samsung improved build quality and design in big steps each time new note was announced. But then came note 5 and it all fell apart. Shame.

If Samsung wants to distinguish itself then bring back the removable battery and sdcard. It'd be about the only brand out there with such features. Perhaps accompanied by a slogan like "It's the one with removable battery". Sadly, a lot of customers wouldn't think twice about a plastic back was it not for reviewers endlessly spending half the review pounding on that subject instead of the functionality of the phone. Samsungs latest plastic backs actually looks quite nice. Personally I couldn't care less.
Apple has 10% of the market and 90% of the profits whereas the numbers obviously are opposite for Android. So Apple is small and not that big a threat. The threat will be coming from another corner. Huawei.
