Current date is April 3th and no update is available in the nordic countries - seems story sadly to be just another hoax.

Can somebody explain to me why the updates depend on the GSM network operator? Isn't it only a question of update availability released by HTC e.g. in Internet? In this case I suppose HTC isn't interested too much of releasing Android updates - why should they give users something for free if they can have it buying a new handset??
