[deleted post]Clearly you have no java skills. There are apps and even web sites that help you code and run java, xml, html bla bla bla..
There are tablets that have keyboards (the mouse is no longer needed - tochscreen) like Asus Transformer and the new fruity one.
To be honest, i only turn on my pc to Photoshop, but that will soon be solved i guess.
Go to school and study and stop playing so much!

My iPhone 5s and iPad 3 are the laggiest devices I have ever used after updating to iOS8 and iOS9.

[deleted post]With windows new continuum feature they may be able to resolve that. Future PC's may be similar to tablet/laptop hybrids, where it's a Phone/PC combo. Honestly phones and tablets are replacing PC's already; it wont be long until actual PC's will just be used for gaming, workplaces, and high demand tasks.

Since i bought a high end smartphone, i h... moreSmartphone With OS like:
WP : limited features and restrictive, buggy.
iOS : limited features and restrictive, less buggy
Android: full of bloatware, full of bugs and vulnerabilities, less but still restrictive and ineffective.
will never compete with PC.
Unless your only job with PC is watch video and surf Net, no current phone OS can't stand against what desktop OS-es (Windows, Linux or Mac) can offer.

Alien, 01 Dec 2015Every manufacturer puts some kind of bloatware on their dev... moreI am well aware you can do whatever you want with your device. My fist android was a N72012 and I have even put ubuntu on it. But you have to remember that not everyone has the time and interest to tinker with their device; they want it to just work. Manufacturer bloatware should be considered when talking about the performance of a device.
Also, the device I am talking about is the Nexus 9. I have tried absolutely everything to fix the ram deficiency but nothing ever truly works. Google's solution (zram) makes the device somewhat usable and that's it. You can't multitask since everything dies as you leave it. Even messenger's chatheads barely work before getting killed.

dukaki, 01 Dec 2015Do you have any idea how much ram 64bit android builds cons... moreFully agree with you but still folk keep banging on about Chrome browser being great. My Windows 10 laptop core i7 8 gig ram gets slower and slower every tab I open using Chrome but did not know why,(i am not computer expert) everyone saying Chrome is lightweight but I eventually bought Macbook air and using Safari can have 19 tabs open with no glitches. Chrome is a massive RAM hog as I learned the hard way. On my Windows happy I have gone back to Opera.

8gig ram is already an overkill for a phone. Damn, they keep on creating an unwanted need.

AnonD-463876, 01 Dec 20154Gb is not enough? How many tabs and apps do you have open ... moreDo you have any idea how much ram 64bit android builds consume? I guarantee you it is bad enough to make your 2gb phone feel like a 512mb one from the days of jellybean.
If you use chrome on top of that it will turn to poop: all the tabs you have in the background will start reloading, things will start to crash and the device will start heating up. I got the nexus 9, but the 5x with the same amount of ram and the 64bit android build perform pretty much the same.
I also have the Nexus 7 2012 (so much for the logo part). 1gb of ram and you can open about 5 chrome tabs before any of them reloads WITH another light game (lets say candy crush) running in the background.
Chrome (the desktop one) is the same story; everyone first switched because it was extremely lightweight and fast but now it has become a bloated mess that consumes your resources for no reason.
Microsoft has optimized W10 to run even on 1gb ram devices, apple is using 2gb ram on their flagship (non-pro) tablet which has multiwindow capabilities. The nexus 9 with 2gb of ram and 64bit android marshmallow doesn't even have multi-window enabled by default, but even if it did, it can't even work with one app at a time with no issues.
Google needs to start optimizing their OS. They have stopped caring about that ever since kitkat.

As long as smartphones cost a small fortune similar to the other computing devices in the house then evolving the smartphone into a device that can double as those other devices like PCs, laptops, MACs, NUCs, TVS, etc. makes a lot of sense as it is savings on that budget. And now is perhaps a good time for Intel to start thinking about how to morph into making custom ARM chips like Qualcomm to remain relevant. In time ARM may be coming to the server room too.

it's true, i hope 1 or 2 years later 64gb rom and 4gb ram on low-mid end phone will be common so people can use more apps without reloading everything (cuts loading time if the app is still cached in RAM)

Intel Atom Series already have support to 8GB RAM.
Check Atom X5 and X7.
