Anonymous, 08 Dec 2015Staying in China and India are their best strategy. While China is another story, India has one of the most strict papent enforcement regime.
In the case of Sony Ericsson vs Xiaomi Indian court granted exparte injection which would have been very difficult elsewhere including USA.
The propaganda that India has lax patent enforcement is spread by US pharmaceutical giants. Actually India has very high standards in ppatent grants. If your patent is granted in India , it is unlikely to be rejected elsewhere.

Yeah, just more trolls fishing for money from a successful company. I'm an American and America has a lot of great things about it, but the patent system is NOT one of them.

Anonymous, 07 Dec 2015I think for the patent to valid it needs to have a product ... moreYou do not need to have a product actually using the patented technology to own a patent. So, it still means that the company needn't be a patent troll just because of that point. However, going by the reported history of filing law suites against other companies, it is a safe guess

Just because its website doesn't reveal any products or clients does not imply a patent troll. You're one irresponsible reporter.
