I certainly agree HTC use better quality material. A few years back, I used a few HTC devices and their screens are good, whereas Samsung Gorilla glass get visible scratches easily.

Yup great news. I bought 3 unlocked and imported to Australia and have already received some updates two weeks ago as well.

Marduch, 08 Dec 2015It´s of course great that HTC uses top-quality speake... moreThat is not the case. HTC creates the illusion of quality by ramping prices higher and usage of niche, yet inferior materials. Google the "illusion of quality", HTC is even mentioned next to Apple in several books. The "you get what you pay for" strategy is Samsung, Sony in many cases and LG. Lenovo and others sell because of the value product strategy.

It´s of course great that HTC uses top-quality speakers, top quality audio chips, often top bright and contrast screens with great angles, top Gorilla glass, top quality user interface etc.

But average customers can´t notice these positives when checking specifications in shop, especially the midrage class phones.

                            Look at Lenovo.
Customer and shop selles could sipmply notice for the first sight: 3000-4000 mAh battery, Dolby Atmos, Vibe SHOT, Lenovo PHAB, LTE on both sim cards, etc.
And poor sound, poor cameras, low glass´s quality, poor and often laggy UI.. But average customers can´t notice at first sight in shop.
Then price could be lower so customers in shops likes it and buy it.

HTC should learn how to make their phone´s specifications ATRACTIVE FOR THE FIRST SIGHT.

Poor battery capacity, cameras (mainly flagships), overpricing.
These are the main dealbreakers people around me have with HTC phones since last three years.
