I think it will be better that you get a kindle paperwhite instead (as in any e-ink readers). I hold a normal tablet and a paperwhite, and there is really a big difference for both, and can't be made to compare.
Tablet is definitely much faster, pretty much like your phone with a bigger screen size. E-ink readers are much slower, it's really meant to be used as a reader, it's so much more gentler on the eyes, you wun feel like you're straining your eyes too much just to read the words. When you flip a page, there's a 0.2-.3 seconds lag, or up to a few seconds sometimes when it's loading (not v often). Also, it's only in black ink, so you won't be able to use it like a normal tablet for shows or games (definitely unable to).
If you're a dedicated reader, I'd really suggest you to buy an E-ink reader.

I've noticed for instance that the 2nd generation Paperwhite has a cooler light than this year release, so maybe amazon is taking some steps in this directions.
For the ones without the light, it depends on the background color (most old reader are yellowish) and highly on what light you are casting on it - a warm light (under 4000K) that you usually have in you bedroom will do the trick, but if you have neon lamp I doubt you will have nice sleep ;)

No blue light exposure , light that's broke you sleep sistem. I put a rule on myself after 11pm to drop off the phone becouse I couldn't sleep. It took me 2h to asleep if I spend my time on phone till 12o:clock for exemple.

Lol, I've tought in buying a dedicated reader, but I'd better buy a table, phablet or plainly reading in a phone...
Can someone point out advantages on book, Kindle-like readers? Maybe i'm just misinformed.

The App TWILIGHT does the same thing.
