Apple is good at keeping things secret when it suits them. The 64 bit A7 shocked the entire industry when they announced it. (Remember Qualcomm and Samsung's frantic statements following the iPhone 5S announcement?)

Powervr gpus are extremely powerful. Apple should come better than Powervr

Personally I think this is Apple's 'not invented here' complex at its best. There isn't honestly the slimmest chance that Apple's in-house solution would provide the same performance per watt as the PowerVR GPUs
