Lagwiz is the perfect term to describe Touchwiz. Also I have to agree that the build quality was really garbage and the fake metal paint came off the frame. I never used the fingerprint sensor either.

Linas, 18 Dec 2015One is clear.. you never used S5... S5 was not speced worse... moreS5 battery life came nowhere close to the Z3 lol. I get 3 days of average usage and 2 days on heavy usage with my Z5 Premium now. I don't think the Note 5 or S6 can ever match this.

Its the ugliest thing I ever used in my life. The settings layout is so messed up, there are so many unnecessary features. I've used my S5 for almost a year and it was the most horrid experience ever. Its apparently "waterpfoof" but when I submerged under water, water would get inside under the cover and make the metal frame inside rust. Stock Android is beautiful and blows Touchwiz away. Stock is clean, simple and beautiful. Its elegant due to material design and I love how Xperias use stock with slight modifications. Good for your octa-core S5 which probably get 40% of its performance bogged down by ugly cartoonish Touchwiz. I like the positioning of the camera more on Xperias since they are on the corner and is perfect for landscape orientation photography. My hand always got in the way of my S5 whenever I took a photo in landscape but it doesn't get in the way on my Z5 Premium. My Z5 Premium going bad? HAHAHAHA. Funniest thing I ever read. Its sexier and slicker than ever and sh*tting on my S5 rn. Oh yeah, also I have a very special IGZO 4K LCD display from sharp with phosphors for 100% sRGB color gamut. No point of getting an AMOLED now because I'll have almost no difference in the display experience.

On top of this, I don't really use my speaker but the Z5 Premium is louder and clearer. The Z5 Premium also has a significantly better headphone amplifier and audio chip with DNC support. The Z3 already had a better audio chip and headphone amplifier with DNC support too which would give you a much better headphone listening experience than the S5.

I tried every optimization possible on my S5 to get more than 8 hours of battery life all the way to the point of rooting and getting rid of a ton of bloatware and yes that did help. I got about 10 hours of battery with regular use and 5 hours of on screen time. However, this comes nowhere close to the 2 days (sometimes 3 days if I'm extremely conservative with usage) of battery I get on my Xperia Z5 Premium.

Not to mention the S5 has louder speakers (check GSMArena review on both phones) and has Infrared aka IR blaster to control appliances TVs, cable box, DVD players etc.
So how well does the Z5 or even Z2 as you presumptiously decided to mention...look in comparison to the S5?

1. Water resistance was just a marketing and they dared to call it ''whatever-proof'' (yet water would easily get under the back cover in just 2inch of water) !
2.There where two versions of phone with different chipsets and Exynos 5422 sucks (octa core) only Qualcomm version should have bean made with 801.
3.Fingerprint sensor also sucks it was fail I never used it.
4.Build quality was unacceptable for flagship device (cheap plastic) !
5.Touchwiz suck whether you like it or not it's ''Lagwiz'' actually.
Other things you mentioned like Super AMOLED vs IPS LCD or Position of camera are just mater of preference....
Z2 was device better overall with no doubt although in my opinion Z2 also it shouldn't bean made only Z3 since i see Z3 as perfected Z2.

In fact recently somebody right here from GSMArena said the S5 is the best galaxy S ever. You know what's funny though, many persons bashed it upon seeing photos of it when it was annouced and hearing about the size difference over the S4 among other stuff...I myself am guilty of negativity towards the S5 before I actually owned it. When I first used it I felt turned off but having owned it I have realised the beauty of it and how well everything works seamlessly. Now I feel as if I can't do without it. The S5 really taught me that golden saying 'Never Judge a Book by it's Cover'.

If you owned an S5 and used it for at least a year you would see the beauty of it. I own a octa-core S5 and it runs any and everything fast and smoothly and the battery life is good. I ALWAYS get more than one day battery life out of it...I get two days easily.
Touchwiz brings life to Android. Touchwiz goes beyond Android. Stock Android is boring, the look mainly...though it may be snappier than the phones with skins overlayed on top of the OS. The look, feel and not to mention the cool possibilities that Touchwiz brings make it a winner.
As of today I have owned my S5 for exactly one year and two months. It has never crashed nor have I ever had to do a battery pull because it froze etc. It has worked flawlessly, snappy enough and smooth no matter what I throw at it and best of all...even after more than one year of usage, I can still get two days battery life out of it. Furthermore, I very much rather my Super AMOLED screen over any LCD screen despite the resolution of the LCD. Another thing I prefer is having my camera lens in the middle of the device than at the corner...that can make photography easier and less awkard in terms of alignment of the subject. Oh and if your Z5 battery should go bad right now how will you get it rectified? Send it back to the manufacturer and possibly wait a week or two and maybe pay an arm and a leg for new battery plus labour? Well for me I will just run to a shop and pop in a new battery on the spot...in no time I will be back in business...can't say the same for you. The next time you decide to bash a phone make sure you own it and own it long enough before making criticism. Have a nice day.

Why you bashing Samsung? so what if its crappy or lagwiz etc etc...for you maybe , not for me. the price differenc with S6 and Iphone 6 is so high that i prefer samsung than iphone. I dont feel like its lag, its just a phone, maybe people who are screaming laggy phone like to swipe its menu left or right for no apparent reason while screaming laggy! ...laggy!. I use phone and i use it and i use it and i clean memory cache etc etc and i dont feel lag. So while waiting in line at Burgerking and you call that lag too?

S5 was not speced worse then Z3 (not Z2), the only paper advantage for Z3 was 21MP camera, but in reality Samsung's own ISOCELL 16MP sensor proven to be better. Sony had more premium design, that point is taken and fixed in S6. Battery life was the best ever on S5.. I was doing 3 day+ with ease not to mention Super Battery Saver mode... which was kind of gimmick, but I actually found it useful when traveling 12 days of battery life in my experience while on mixed cycle (25% normal use, 75% super saver). Last 2 days, I had 11% of battery life which out-do my colleagues iPhone 5s on 4 charges and drive him mad :D
It is easy to speak for hater who never actually owned the phone. Sony is losing even more sales, than Samsung.. Currently have 6 edge.. the best phone around.

im over it,,,all the speculation ,lies, and rumours....these phones are too dam expensive anyway, 1500 au for a phone,,,nearly buy a top end laptop for that... over it.
