ashyjay92, 23 Dec 2015if xiaomi sold to european carriers, then they'd sell well ... moreBasically, you may be right. But this never happened with OnePlus One, for example. Secondly, OnePlus One was/is sold from European warehouses so no more extra taxes are to be paid.
Of course, the phone has to be made in conformity with CE european conformity standards and this can be an issue.
Time will tell, but with Huawei, Xiaomi, Meizu, LeTV, Elephone even OnePlus, the future of android phones is very very promising and big leaders like Samsung have to reconsider their flagship pricing.

if xiaomi sold to european carriers, then they'd sell well but then the likes of apple and samsung would find the tiniest patent to get them on to stop the sale of these cheaper flagship spec'd devices.

If this device will be available from the begining in Europe at 325€ (taxes included) for the 64 GB version, in enough numbers, a new era for smartphones will began. If only...
Otherwise, it will be a very good priced phone and nothing more.
