I took the risk to update to marshmallow, and let me tell you :

      Pros :
      - you get the marshmallow features which are the new google now on tap and system ui tuner (which I was hyped about, but in the end, didnt change ANY of the settings, my opinion)
      - thats it for pros, really

      Cons :
      - first, and MOST annoying, is the battery life. With lollipop usually finished the day with more than 30 percent of power left. Now I have to plug in at around 3-4 PM. REALLY dissapointing, consider the fact that all marshmallow hype was the battery saver doze (which actually only turns on after about an hour of the phone sitting absolutely still)
-second, the flahlight chop works only half the time, also a bummer because now it isnt reliable at all and defies the point of moto gestures.
-last I've found that the touch screen doesnt respond very well at times and is quite annoying to use.

In addition, there are numerous people having problems with their home buttons / SD Cards / notifications.

So if you are still on lollipop, consider yourself lucky, because the few marshmallow features that you might think you need are not worth the risk of turning your fresh 6 month phone into a poorly optimized 3 year old one

So if the SD card problem wasn't an issue for me and i would just use it EXTERNALLY, would you guys still consider risking upgrading to marshmallow?

Android M for Moto G3 is not stable.
                                  1. problem with the FM app, it always plays through loud speaker, and many settings in the fm app are removed.
                                  2. many standard and useful features like double tap to wake up and pocket prevention mode are removed.

For the fingerprint option, the device needs to have a fingerprint sensor as Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P or Samsung A8 ,which the Moto G (3rd Gen.) does not have. So even after Marshmallow update you won't find an option to add fingerprints.

Have been using it a couple of weeks now, everything fine until the sd card corrupted, had been working fine under lollipop for months, but I adopted it as internal storage in marshmallow, not sure if it's related or the card just went bad? as all the phone says now is 'checking' when I insert the card and then it disappears, can't do anything with it in my pc either.
Anyone else had sd card issues?
