    yea kinda a dissapointment the C6 isn't S3, i watched the S3 demo videos again and theres not that much of a differece if you look at it from a upgrade;

    faster menu's
    multi touch controls
homescreen widgets are not standard (already got those in N97)

Symbian 4 is the one with those new Clock widgets and stuff more UI enhancements

so in other words S3 is just a S60 5th brought upto speed with todays touch experiences

which means Nokia no reason not to give the C6 a upgrade to S3, upgrade to S4 will be pushing it but don't leave S3 as a exclusive to N8 just to make a few people get it

Thing is of all 3 I don't think that the C3 are really necessary when you have to consider that E5 or any upcoming (God forbid there's shouldn't be more in the labs. It's lagging future S^3 entrance 1 way or the other..) S60 R3.2 phones SHOULD GET TO C3's price bracket if this is the underlying strategy. The deal is to trim down the product portfolio AND ADD VALUE to the lower end not the other way round.I can't understand this need to dilute "series" of products with too much redundant models Nokia?

Anonymous, 13 Apr 2010Besides you started listing them yesterday and still you di... moreYou can bash whatever you like, at least for people around me, (no, none of them is a tech geek) they are / used to be the almighty brand users but they already swtiched / will switch to iphone, after they look at how iphone users surround them really enjoy using the iphone.

And where I live, we started with iphone 3G only officially, and I seldom heard people "upgraded" from 3G to 3GS due to the so called "improvement", yet I simply see more and more iphones on the streets.

My manager, who is a trendy person and used to switch new handsets every 6 months or so, has been using her iphone for nearly 2 years now.

iphone's success is not about all the hard specs, rather being the "new experience" it brings to the users.

And when people take out an iphone, others can easily recognize it as an iphone. However, at least being a non-expert, I can't tell if someone is using E61 or E71/72 or whatever....they all look the same to me.

Anonymous, 13 Apr 2010Well, now that you've seen that iPhones actually do have bu... moreI can bet there are more happy iphone users than the ones who file complaints, coz most of the users actually DO NOT login to any phone / tech forum.

I was surprised you compared sales of iphones, where a 16GB model costs around US$700 (unlock without contract) with the sales of probably hundreds of models from the almighty brand, who seem to provide heavy subsidies to the network service providers and offer $0 handset price?

Saeedgho, 13 Apr 2010Hi,It's been a while since some apple lovers or other brand... moreAs pointed out by another reader here, the almighty brand IS ALREADY OFFERING phones with such features like N97 mini/E63, so why need to release such "new" phones? So the old models can be sent to landfills and further pollute our environment?

At the rate of how the almighty brand loves to release "new" phones, do you really think the brand always sell every single piece of the old models before releasing a new one?

Maemo on the N900 is a pretty new thing, so I'm prepared to wait and see how it pans out, and then choose between a possibe N900 successor and an android phone. Not knocking the N900, but it is in early stages with Nokia, and I'll be keepling an eye on how it does in the coming months.

Hi,It's been a while since some apple lovers or other brands fans calling Nokia a failure or outdated or out of new technology or it is dead! let's be honest without bashing and hating a certain brand.in my opinion answer to question "why, nowadays with this madness race between brands for introducing highend phones, Nokia keeps releasing mid-range phones?" is that the brand has a good analyse of the market and overall economy situations and sees markets that has a good potential for making money and targets them.these 3 phones are not in the race of best highends with high prices that only a certain percent of the whole market want to buy ,but i think they are for the mid-range users and smart phone starters that mostly consider money against features.in fact, i think most of geeks are only interested in new product features and not really into buying them!you can see it from negative opinions when a high end device get's introduced by a brand "Like x10 or nexus1" and you can see the low sell points they have.i like to ask those people who think Nokia can't produce a high end device, are they serious about this question?how it's possible a company being on top of a market for years ,that means it has more resources and money and power and etc... than all other competitors, that also means it has the best marketing strategy and understanding of the game, can not do something that others are capable of?is it really that hard for Nokia to put snappy integrated 12 mp Camera with amoled screen in a phone and release it?LOL:-)where have all those high end brands gone with those flashing phones? i think those phones has only kept them in the game and no more than that!most of them offer same features with 1 or 2 pros or cons.i think the reason iphone users are bashing nokia for not introducing a new high end device is that they have already got tired of their phones and are waiting for a good product from Nokia to switch to .consider that "this is only MY opinion and i don't hate iphone,i only don't take it serious as i worked with a 3g version for a while". so let's quit all those non-related opinions in all GSMARENA forums and enjoy the race between brands :-)

And in response to the person below, I agree, but it does need to be understood both ways. Trolling is killing these comments. It would be nice to have a few more balanced opinions rather than "my phone is better than yours" arguments.

C6 looks to fit in between N97 mini and 5800 XM. If its cheaper than N97 mini (same 5 MP camera) then its great.

Interesting is the four row keypad on it though
