Anonymous, 14 Apr 2010Sockatume, I only gave the tip for the latest article thankyou ;)@Anonymous:
Ah, then I must apologise. However I continue to be sceptical that the device itself is slipping, rather than the rumours. I've heard September for most of the past 6 months, and I'll be amazed if it's anything else.

February, April, now July? I'm sure if your tipster keeps guessing, they'll get it right eventually.
This would be much more convincing if they had heard of a delay BEFORE the time had come and gone. They're like one of those end-of-the-world prophets, constantly moving the date when the last apocalypse lapsed.

we are all very excited about the N8, the question is will it be better or not as the best phone on the market, that is N900. Forget i phone, no picture flash, no multitask, no HD screen, no internet flash reading, no TV output.... So N8 N900, that is the question!

Nokia , take your time but bring that hype again when we used be stunned by good old N95(a completely new device with sparkling new revamped symbian os) .....
I hope you can do that...

Nokia might have done the correct idea an not announcing the N8 to early,as they are waiting for the new symbian software to be officially available,an Samsung an the others might see the specs on the N8 an produce a much better mobile to dint the sales of the N8,o.k we want to see if Nokia can start to compete more in the Top camera mobile market as they have really let there followers down since the N95 boom an only the N82 deserves such high praise but nothing outstanding since an there money saving idea of N86 was a nothing to shout about

i bet the software was not ready, this is the same issue that delay the Satio, ^3 OS is not ready, when M$ can show some footage of a device running Phone 7 and get an early version out the door with those Kins, we get slide shows from Nokia and pics instead of the thing running on a working device!
Even the Sato were show with the abandon ^2 at one stage.....
My bet is we won't see the thing til end of Q3 or even October!

Rumours, rumours and more rumours. I think I'll start a rumour too one of these days, since GSMArena seems to believe in everything a perfect stranger says. Am I the only one to notice that when we are just one or 2 months away from a a major release, we usualy know a WHOLE LOT more than what we know about the supposed N8 (which is absolutely nothing)? I wish GSMArena would remain quiet until they know things with a fair amount of certainty. They'll lose their credibility this way.

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2010Nokia owns symbian, that means it owns anything symbian rel... moreNokia does own Symbian s60 but does not own Symbian foundation ^3 ^4 Nokia are now just part of the foundation they have make the software available to one & all.
Why Why do they take so long to release such a great phone they need to launch before the next version of iphone or lose thousands of sales, mid June should be the release date.

Just like Android is fully open source but its still called google's os.
Nokia did't orginally make Symbian but they did develop it into what it is now
