Samsung unveils 13.3-inch and 15-inch Notebook 9 Series for 2016

Two new notebooks have become official today during Samsung's CES press event. They are both part of the company's most high-end 9 series, and they share the same design and two color versions: Iron Silver and Modern Pink. They will be out in "select markets" in early 2016.

Either way, 256GB SSD and 4gb RAM max is ridiculous in 2016.
Take DELL, Microsoft and other brands that make notebooks with much better specs at the same screen/size and form-factor.

      THAT is a ridiculous reason, and I'll-be-a-monkey's-uncle, it stood in court and Apple is being
      handsomely compensated.
      NOW THIS MacBook look-alike. Samsung is just feeding the flame of Apple's greed.

      The only semblance of compensation Samsung receives is all those chips and displays it makes for Apple.

                  Or doing hardcore tasks like video editing and all..
                  U want more storage, get Samsun T3 3 tb...

I had 80 gb hard disk (it was plenty at that time) and i was hoarding data. Unfortunatley my hard disk failed and i didnt knew about data recovery(maybe didnt exist back then). That was first lesson. Second lesson (and more important one) was few years later when My 320 Gb HDD failed. Thats when i realized all the data I had was of no use for me. I just felt easy when I have it on HDD.

                    I understand what you mean but honestly 256 Gb would be plenty for average users that are not video editors, IT guys or Graphics heavy users like gamers.

                    I have Laptop with 1TB HDD and 64 GB SSD. more than 3 quaters used. And I have tablet with 128 Gb, less then half used. But I find all my files i ever need through one drive on both devices.

My data is in almost three HDDs of a PC and two Laptops and one portable still i need more of that so i am going to buy a 2TB portable to consolidate all my data into one and spare the other two devices which are not personally mine.
                        The thing is, i am an extreme hoarder and love to hoard movies and TV serials on high quality for that i need that kind of space and why im not in big favour of portables is because sometimes i need to give my laptop to someone or take my laptop with me and if i forget my portable at home then i find it very difficult to reach to my recent data which i usually save on my portable. It is just a Notebook. A mini laptop. The size didn't say anthing to you? 13.3" on the headline! There are 8gb ram option too. Don't type faster than your brain could read.

I would prefer a fast storage over more storage. I usually carry 2TB fo media requirements and other stuff, store all documents online , photos on google photos. What else would you require ?

                                      samsung laptops are the worst laptops. there built quality is so poor that they dont last more than a year.there sales are so poor they shutdown all the service centres.

                                        If you cannot give atleast 1TB SSD then dont mock the customers with a mere 256 GB SSD. In today's world of blazing fast internet, you can fill it up with your favourite downloads in just about a week.
                                        And i guess its still early to use SSD and there is no noticeable difference of speed so i'll compromise this 'speed' any day for a bigger hard drive. Also, if that fast charging is really true then this is truly an innovation in batteries but alas, their batteries do not live up to the estimated time period and one has to recharge it very often.
