Sony creates world's first "48K" 360-degree video by using 12 Xperia Z5 Compact units

07 January, 2016
4K simply isn't enough for Sony anymore. After having launched the world's first smartphone with a display that can sometimes show 4K content (the Xperia Z5 Premium), the company is now aiming even higher. Much more so.

AnonD-147389, 07 Jan 2016It's just 4k ...even there are 12phone each of them are rec... moreYou realize there is " " beside the term right ?

3840 X 25920 isnt anything close to 4k . There isnt any specific term for it .

If you want to brag about 4k 360' , the title of the video is "Sony Xperia Z5 Compact 360° 4K video"

...4K comes because of the video width which is ALMOST 4 thousand pixels (3840).... But the phones placed that way will record video with 4K HEIGHT, and then 2160x12 width.
So unless they changed something on the software to record video on portrait with the full 4K width (doubt it), it's actually 26K.

They could have added a few more and called it 100k.. Y stop at 48k.. First they say they have the world's first 4k phone which is mostly FHD.. Now they have a 48K video which in realty is 4k..they seem to be having a hard with numbers
