To reiterate what I'd said earlier when this rumour started, it's nothing more that another way for Apple to milk it's ignorant customers who through the power of networking and advertising keep getting swayed that this is what they need! Well to each his own, although you can't overlook the irony here. While competitors truly make strides in enhancements in various fields of technology, apply keeps taking the safer route to nickle and dime the crap out of its legions (720p still!), and has the audacity to consider it innovation (3d touch is OK and nothing to gloat about. Don't bother justifying it to me coz I have one in my family.)

Apple so clever with this invention, just like the square shaped watch. Why isn't the world following their lead?
Perhaps Apple could offer two iPhone 7's - one with normal headphones and the other without? We'd soon see who agrees it's the best option.

Another thing, have you never been wrong about something? Steve Jobs was wrong about the big phone thing. No one's perfect. Does not mean they're copying. If you wanna get technical. Every single Android (and other OS utilizing an "App Store" with a touchscreen bar phone) is a copy of the first gen iPhone.
