Infographic details the Samsung Exynos 8890 chipset that will be in the Galaxy S7

Samsung is very proud of the latest mobile chipset it's created. And to prove this to the world, the Korean company has just released an infographic that's all about the recently unveiled Exynos 8890.

I´ve no idea how much cost to update from an old android to a newer version, but what I can't understand is the reason for not been available the option on google play to update de OS, even if we have to pay but at least have the option. Think, S6 been able to download the Marshmallow and we pay about $50 for it. WHY NOT?

        I hope Samsung release cheaper exynos 8890 too that implement the same HMP.
        I don't need extra that 4K display.
        I just need powerful phone with extra long life battery.

            Seriously, maybe you can mock console because of their super outdated configuration but how dare you want to compare a 5 inch device with almighty desktop computers? maybe compare with ultra books but not desktops.

                taking into account the battery size though, yes it might have a longer life

Yes, but infographics is about Chip's performance and experience is meant in terms of graphical rendering abilities only. :) However, your point is valid in other sense too. I am just trying to relate it to the processor only.

                                So, the big cores are these new custom 'Mongoose' cores from Samsung, but the little cores are still standard A53's yes????

                                  Heh. If Samesung were that proud of its Exynos chip, it would not be selling the Galaxy S 7 with a Snapdragon SoC in major markets.

                                      Not necessarily. that is 10% lower consumption on the CPU alone. It doesn't mean 10% increase in battery life. You also have a screen, the storage, speakers etc etc.
