Ive talked to those Money Troll$ at Verizon Wirele$$ in their executive offices and they are just for the money.They want you to pay a toll to cross the bridge. I did some social engineering(i hate that term but thats what its called now) I forced them to pay off my contract WHICH WAS A DISPUTE OVER 6 MONTHS (i called when they told me they had time and i took notes of everything) of me not paying most of my bill. they paid it off because they like to please only wealthy people with connections to high up people , whom I reasearched threw out names and pretended to be, which is pure ßü11$h!t. They want you to upgrade to take more money from you and lock you into a ridiculous contract with bad warrenty services you still have to pay a deductible on. Also the only way to break a contract is move away say you have connctions, which is what I did, (because they lie to their customers) you have to also either lie about moving away to a place without coverage(or actually move) or send them a certificate of your death. I would not be surprised if they asked the family to pay off a dead persons bill. Bunch of ßü11$h!t. They are the single greediest company I have ever had to deal with in my life. They never used to be like this in the 90's and early 2000's you used to be able to call them up and say my cell phone is not working correctly and they would send you a new one free of charge after 6 months of being with the company. Now you all know how to get out of their $h1t, One more thing, Verizon is the deffinition of ßü11$h!t.

Indian version is still waiting for 5.1.1 update. Really shame on samsung.

Wow...This is a really sad tale for the tech world. Two fold. For the Note 4 and for verizon/tech users in general.
That's a long standing update at this point and a generation behind. Verizon takes so terribly long releasing updates....Yet not only are they not better built for the time, they are generally no better or sometimes even buggier. And way more locked off too.
Yet they want to charge the biggest premium for their services.
And the Note 4 is still one of the best devices objectively around. Before the Note 5 came out it was only really matched by the capabilities of the S6.....And even then the S6 has some lacking in comparison....So until then it was practically the best phone objectively you can get.....
Yet it's been stuck with certain bugs, lock downs, and slow slow updates. Even other than verizon have not been that fast or amazing with updates. Just better than Verizon.....We should be thankful enough for that I guess.
I just really hope it does not continue this bad and it does not take another half year to a year just to get Marshmellow....And that it's not an old build by then. And that it's not minute software change version of it.....lacking most of the goodies and only optimized by what can be settled on...

I would not recomend to install this update. It's really bad. It tends to hang up system files, so battery drains much faster. On your own risk. I have sold this, but I had to hard reset several times.

Received the update to 5.1.1 for my Verizon Note 4 today, phone is smooth as butter, feels like a brand new phone. The OS also used less of the Ram, which helps with multitasking, the 5.1.1 has breathed some fresh air to the device.

I really think OEMs should copy Apple in the regard that they don't let carriers interfere with the update process and software of their phones.The Note 4 hs had 5.1.1 available for more than a month now..i feel sorry for Verizon's customer who have to deal with this BS....the phone better run like a champ after the update
