The only thing that does not outperform all apple and to my knowledge Samsung phones is the OS. The reason why the Os is not up to date is because of the concierge function and altered interface, which force vertu to customize the OS every time. It is simply not worth keeping up with every software update like this.

            At least the specs finally have started to catch up with these in the past couple years.
            For such an expensive device...yes its mainly the material....But still a few things leave you wondering.....
            However just a couple years or so ago these devices used to be so outdated for the price it made you wonder if they did it just to see how stupid rich people are.

            And it really bring up the question.....How good is their optimizing....And especially their support....I have a feeling these dont get updated well.

                        Due to it cheap suppose to have os version 6.0.1 out of the box and include all scanners.

                          Buy an OnePlus 2/iPhone and dip it in gold still would be cheaper.. oh Beamer, Benz, or Bentley..

                              I think it's difficult to justify a phone just by the spec sheet alone, while one manufacturer may have different optimizations from the others despite the exact same hardware.
                              I'm just curious, how will a phone as expensive as this performs as far as technicality goes. Do they optimize the software? What about the battery life, audio quality, camera performance? Any specialty on the screen? Is there any extra special feature that the "ordinary" phones may don't have?
                              I know that Vertu's mind-blowingly expensive pricetag mainly comes from the materials that's been carved into it. In this case, it's even bringing a luxurious car brand along with it. But to think about the tag and the brand itself, it's hard to think they're allowed to make a low performance smartphone.
                              Can gsmarena, somehow, manage to have a review unit of hyper luxurious phones like this, test it, then write the usual review article about it? I think that will become one interesting story for early 2016.
