There difference between the bold 9700 and the 9650 is it has twice the RAM it comes with 512mb so that more apps can be loaded on to it and its smoother (probably perfect for the new OS 6) also it has open GL 3D technology just like the tour 2 has so that media and gaming will be highly improved. So it does seem RIM are working towards phones that are perfect for communication, media and entertainment ;)

Hello Friends
Well, it seems that the super simple minded people that come into my store looking for the blackberry touch screen phone have some how made it to one of my favorite websites on the internet. Since you are not in my store, and you are not one of my customers, and i dont care what you think, let me break it down for you
Blackberry started with the Blackberry 5810. One of the first handsets with a full qwerty keyboard, and enterprise capabilities. Since then, those are the 2 things that RIM will not change about thier standard phones. All these people on here talking about amoled screens and slide out keyboards... This isnt motorola or samsung. RIM started blackberry with the idea of a business driven device. Only recently did the blackberry's pickup any multimedia capabilities. Do i think blackberry will ever make a strictly multimedia driven phone. No. Would i want them to? No. leave that up to HTC and Apple. I like my blackberry, to be constantly evolving with newer OS, and better functionality, but i have a blackberry for a reason. What the blackberry does. If i wanna watch a movie, ill watch it on my TV.

Yawn, Boring! Can you imagine a world where you just keep replicating yourself. Every where you turn it's you, but in another location.

RIM dosn't build these things for "fun". These are business phones that are work first and play second. I don't think you'll ever see some multimedia power house come from this company its just not them. They focus of encryptions and security protocols as oppsed to HD Video recording, and Music players. Personally for what real people use this phone for the seemingly minor upgrade to a trackball makes them easier to use I think. My 8900 Curve has the ball and I hate that thing. Having something like the trackpad will make these phones better in a user sense.

Hmmm just looked at a pic of the 9630.... this isn't a bold its just a javelin with a track pad.... sooo let me get this straight... bold... bold 2 - 9700 and now bold 3 9650? something smells fishy RIM
Played with a new pearl though... pretty nice

The bold isn't really a bold, it's an upgrade from the tour 9630 which was essentially a CDMA version of the bold.

You guys don't get it. This is a CDMA capable phone which targets the Sprint and Verizon customers out there who can't use the Bold 9700.

Hey, UK's Guardian newspaper is reporting that the European version of the Pearl is gonna have a traditional numeric keypad instead if the half-QWERTY. GSMArena, Forum users, can you shed any light?

maybe the BB Bold 9650 will come with the purported Blackberry OS 6.0. Otherwise, there is no clear difference between this and the Bold 9700.

Nothing those BBs can do that the iPhones can't (there are several apps available for productivity). And the Nokia E Series looks much better than those fat pager phones.

There is no diff in this BB Bold and 9700. I dont understand why BB release it without any improvement. The Pearl look nice tho.

Anonymous, 26 Apr 2010You clearly have no grasp of R&D and production costs o... moreThere hardly any R&D in their old design or in their dated OS. And the one who asked all those things go ask Apple to build that for you businesses don't care about 4.3 inch screens or dual cameras.

Anonymous, 26 Apr 2010RIM needs to make a TOUCH SCREEN business / pro phone with ... moreI'll tell you a secret:
Businesses don't care about touchscreens, they care about productivity and security. And as long as BB's have those features businesses won't care about the iPhone or its many clones.
