samsung phones lag because of the software it puts on top it ..
for example consider how they implemented finger print scanner in s5 and s6 ..
both r implemented differently and the released SDKs r not consistent

Tizen not even have a proper SDK and you talk as if tizen is the best..
samsung is poor when comes to software .. if you think otherwise i can't help..

Kazace, 14 Jan 2016How hard developing Tizen app compared to Android & iOS... moreAfaik it has an IDE, but you'll still need to know the same languages/frameworks as in desktop linux for higher performance apps, although it accepts apps based on web technologies as well, like HTML or Javascript. Still, a Qt, GTK or EFL-based app will probably be faster since it's pre-compiled as a binary.

I was able to experience this smartphone on the exhibition. I can say that it is an absolute delight. It works very fast and very economical. I don't need millions of wacky applications for pimply teenagers. Samsung Z3 has everything that I need (facebook, VLC player, Torrent Downloader etc.).
It works much better than Android. I will definitely buy this smartphone when it appears in stores.

As long as Tizen get LINE messenger, Whatsapp and some of local Apps, and smooth to run them, it's enough for me.. -Indonesia

Competition is good for end users as competition will drive price down (and better quality) in the long run to retain and attract customers.

Samsung strategy to embrace Android, Windows and Tizen will likely pay off in the long run as they are a vertically integrated company and control the whole supply chain.

Samsung is coming with more Tizen running phones anyways. They really want their own OS to grant success because sooner or later they want to say bye bye to android and go all in on Tizen.

AnonD-364786, 14 Jan 2016its smooth because it has no features for a smartphone othe... moreIt (Tizen) doesn't lag, because it isn't bolted on top of a Java Virtual Machine, unlike Android, which does become laggy and crash prone because of this extra layer taxing the hardware it is run on. Couple that with Android running on top, and all the apps running inside Android screaming for access to the same hardware, makes for a pretty bad user experience considering the hardware specs it is run on. Oh, and the garbage collection in a Java Virtual Machine is pretty pants too, adding more possibilities of lag and eventual crashes into the mix.

Tizen thankfully does not have to deal with all that crap. But doing so sadly remove compatibility with Android, hence the lack of an abundance of apps.

If anyone can pull off getting traction with a new OS its Samsung. I wish them luck. I hope it spreads to other devices like laptops. Sadly it will be at the expense of Googles Android instead of Apples iOS. People are just that captivated by Apple. Now if Windows had had any market share it would have been at their expense instead of Android.

once Tizen starts supporting all the features and SDKs , considering the samsungs software expertise , could be end up being the laggiest os ever
