Sony Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact coming to the US on February 7

Right about when the new generation of mobile processors is coming up, sony is gonna sell the old generation now for full price. They are doing it wrong for years. I mean if a small ebay retailer could sell sony phones very shortly after release, what's stopping a giant like sony to have their phones available for sale in US at the time they release them? It is such a waste that not even marketing can save it.

Yeah, I mean Intel are a big and accomplished company, I'm sure if they really wanted to compete in the mobile Arm based market they certainly have the tech savvy to do so. I just get the impression they are still in the 'testing the waters' stage, for lack of a better term.

Sure they've made a few light efforts here and there, but I can't help but get the feeling their heart is just not in it, yet.
They are certainly not in a position to compete with Qualcomm in this space, but again that's with a 'yet' on the end.

The UI on my Sony Z3+ is the smoothest I have ever experienced when compared to any Android phone.
I've used ALOT of Androids and Sony phones are the smoothest, lag-free phones I've ever used.
Samsung, HTC and LG (and 'others') should learn a thing about Sony.
Getting the Z5 premium soon.
Faith restored in Android.

I had this one for a while...it may seem like a little bulky (Z5c) but do take into account that this is the full Z5 in Small factor including the 23MP camera. The feel is good and I dropped mine a couple of times to no damage. The screen is good but I just could not adapt to a smaller form phone after coming from a Full size Z3. I play a lot of games and although this was more than capable of running High end games like Asphalt 8 the small screen just did not do it for me. The camera worked good for me and the device did not overheat so no gripes there. The sound from the speaker was comparable to my old Z3 so kudos on that. The smaller size has it's charms as it's super easy to handle with one hand and it fits inconspicuously in your pocket.

More wonder about camera issues. Did they fix huge defect rate? All cameras up to revision 4 were defective. Any revision 5 with fixed camera coming?

Pretty bad design. Sony's designers have the wrong idea of simplicity. It looks more like a brick with huge bezel.
