I am using honor 5x since last 2 months but I don't get any updates, and I have G700 that never get any updates. If we need regular updates and security patches we have to choose some other brand. Waiting for huawei updates means we are wasting our time.

I believe in huawei...it said 4x for L update and it gives..go to hihonor to download..but sorry for the bee user..honor bee is not getting L update

I doubt that Honor (Huawei) will follow through on its promise of Marshmellow and regular security patches because I've had a Huawei Ascend Mate 2 (with Android v4.3) for a year, and there have been no updates to my phone--despite assurances from Huawei.
In my opinion, the only way to get reliable and regular updates to an Android phone is to buy a phone directly from Google. Incidentally, Huawei makes the Nexus 6P for Google; so, perhaps that phone would be a good choice.

Huawei promised the same thing in respect to Honor 4X. They did some minor updates for 3-4 months and after that they completely forgot about the Model. It's still stuck in Kit Kat, even though it was launched just a year back. Lollipop was promised in 6 months, but never came. So, how can we trust the above news about Software updates?
