I do believe they're killing the Lumia brand, not windows phone itself. Lumia 650 will be the last one to be launched with the Lumia brand. But that's it.

IMO Lu... moreFirst of all First lumia phone was a high end;) and so, lumia begint it's jurney to what now, you say is a low end...which is not. Proper branding? How about proper phones;). I see no use of the name surface in a phone like my 950xl. As this phone does not call for a Lumia brand either. Lumia meant great quality, fast, good camera and battery life. Now is not that fast, build quality is not that bad but in the same time cannot touch the lumia qualituy, is more like a samsung, and battery? Well, windows 10 is kind of a battery hog and slow. If ms does not release soon enough a windows 10 build that actually satisfy my needs in terms of battery and speed (not that is slow like a turtle, but with this kind of hardware...it let's to be desired. Is snappy, but compared to 8.1 is well, not that snappy anymore) i will probably sell it and will try to find some other phone that fits my needs.... And nope, a surface will not be to much of an help. Microsoft, with the lasts phone releases has kind of destroyed the Lumia brand, i don't know why would a surface name change something? The name is not that important as the company that makes them and how this company makes them. By now, Nokia quality is lost.... Hope ms comes back on track.

Personally, I think Microsoft need proper branding.
IMO Lumia brand is more appropriate for the value segment. On the high end, Microsoft should use the Surface brand.
What made Lumia famous was not the "high end" Lumia phones, but the $99 Lumia 520. Thus the Lumia 650 price for the spec is strange. Microsoft should focus on value, not margin.
On the other hand, Microsoft can push the Surface brand as high margin brand. Just look at Surface Pro, where Microsoft pretty much forces buyers of their "laptops" to pay extra for the keyboard. This is where Microsoft can push higher margin products.

I don't know some one what do think?? I think Microsoft will die when still release Lumina phone... I am not impressive with this design and window phone. I think Microsoft shall stop Phone manufacturing immediately

its too late for m/s lumia to find a way in indian market , they hv no mutch option to giv custmr in respect of other phn sets

I also think M$ are pulling the plug on Windows Phones. It`s a shame, but Windows 10 offers almost nothing to Windows 8.1 and is even laggier and buggier.
They could have nailed it. but stuck with that awful Metro interface and dull black background and almost no customization.
