Apple acknowledges issue with iPhone 6s battery percentage indicator

18 January, 2016
There seems to be an issue with the battery indicator on the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, which prevents the battery indicator from reducing proportionately with the actual charge of the battery, thereby suggesting you have more power left than you actually do.

I have ownd every iPhone. 5s was my favorite but the batery life was horrible. It wouldn't last the whole 8 hours at work inside the labs. The 6 survived the whole day. I get two days on the 6s and that is using it all the time and with the horrble service at work.

Gsmarena has a battery rating with 21 hours of standby. IPhones have smaller screens and lower resolutions. But even still the battery rating of the iPhone is abysmal and the plus is only good because of what I said above, by no means is it better than the competition however.

This is why iOS needs more frequent updates than Android to fix all the silly bugs.

You left the house and then an urgent thing happened and found your phone turned off. Shocker. This is the reason why people are labeled as fanboys. "No this is just minor. Its not going to affect anyone. Bleh bleh bleh!"

A better response is to say that "Apple is probably is preparing a fix.", "Apple should fix this soon.", etc. And not "Ooh Android fanboys will go crazy over this bug."

Like I said, neither is perfect, and there will always be bugs. The one this article relates to is minor is the overall scheme of things. Now Apple should hang their heads in shame, take a deep breath, and fix it (which I guess is what will happen).

mir, 18 Jan 2016How hard is it to make a percentage indicator work properly... moreVery difficult, by the look of things.

Maybe they should increase the price, then maybe they could use some of that extra revenue to put towards bug fixing and testing before they release to the the general public.

I thought public beta testing of paid premium products was only the realm of Microsoft. Seems like we have a new candidate for the crown.

Apple have only themselves to blame for any stick they receive for their product or services, especially when such a high price is commanded for such devices or services.

You pay more, you expect better, though that isn't necessarily always the case.
