I am not sure why there is a lot chaos regarding the price, I mean when the Indian crowd can by an iPhone(which I have 1) which just an elegant app launcher and nothing else, BlackBerry on the other hand is not only a workforce but the most secure device to work on, I mean think about banks, corporate crowd, stock market pure business people not some cheap(chindi) Chinese phone buyers who change phone every year and don't realize that they can buy something better and use it for years to come. Blackberry is doomed coz of the price, I mean really...if you can't afford be happy with the budget you have got and shut up, don't spread the negative miserable nonsense of yours everywhere possible...hate mongers loosers

Indians like the brands which provide good durability and got software updates. but if the phone is priced on higher side Indians will go for another brand. that's why apple is not a big success in India. most prefer other brands saying simple reasons like no memory card or requires a macbook or over priced etc.

well price no doubt is high. but the point here is security. A lot of high spec phones with an unknown brand name end up as really frustrating toys, iv tried them too for the reason of low cost and high specs, the other thing i know is that black berry hardware is very good people having bb hold onto thier devices for a long long time. the third thing is 2TB of external storage compared to apple 16 / 32/ 64 of internal storage & the rest on cloud....well why??? only god knows that. This device is not for show its for work, and finally the vice quality and network reception on BB is very very good. There are other things as a very good keyboard, very smooth functioning, in the end all companies are here for a profit, they will all aim to make the maximum from thier devices, but as users this phone is diffrent from all the others there.

If it is the fact then BB cannot be rich in the mobile market in Country like India is concern. Here people are looking only for technology not the Brand. BB should check before they leap.

Blackberry should not overprice the cash tag as we are getting the same specs in below 20K android mobiles. They should keep this in mind before they propose a price or if thr price are decided, reconsideration is needed. I am a BB lover but I will stay away from priv until the price gets slashed as it happened for other BB flagship phones like Z10, z30 etc

A lot of people like to complain about the price (reading the comments) but it's cheaper than an iphone6 and S6 and has better specs than both in most categories.
It comes with a slider keyboard and security as well as a 5.4" curved screen.
The people complaining about the price need to get a job and quit whining.
This is the best smartphone of 2015, you shouldn't expect it to cost as little as a Nokia/MSFT PoS device or a low budget Android device.
Get a job, then get a Priv and get taken seriously.
Or walk around with an itoy and pretend your a 15 year old girl and "cool".

price is more concern in india. blackberry is not found in so many hands nowadays.if they reduce the price,atleast people will start think about blackberry.otherwise both sony and blackberry manufacturers stock their products in its own warehouse for decades.

While other Android phones are available in India at 15999, like vibe P1, with finger print sensor, 2 gb ram, 5.5 inch screen, like k4 note for 11999 with 3gb ram, finger print sensor, 5.5 inch screen,.. Why would anybody pay 55000 for a phone without either, only for a slide out keyboard with 3 gb ram.?
