I still own a G2 and I'm not sure which one I should switch to. My G2 is 2 years old and with massive use, it goes to sleep with about 45% around midnight. Do you think I should say goodbye to this with the G4?

AnonD-479561, 19 Jan 2016and your research about 400 dpi comes from where? the late ... morethanks man all i had to read was coments from mealy-mothed ppl with poor eyesight and since some of us can see very fine details they insist on thier 1080p "gold standard " and spread thier lies as usual on battery drain my note 4 does more than two day on fair usage on single charge. and on gsm battery tests its one of the longest lasting phablets around and it puts many to shame on video playback with thier superior 1080p screens. so yeah do a little reading before going all green on a development trend and still yeah some of us are big in size we dont want no thumbnail sized screen on a phone and if u aint like it dont buy it, easy. nit so long ago sony was being praised for putting a 4k display on this phablet if lg does the same will that be so wrong? open ur minds and cut the ignorance, enough already. jeez hatters

AnonD-490245, 19 Jan 2016You have no idea what you are talking about. There is absol... moreHave you considered that it may be a part time 4K screen, like the Sony Z5 Premium?
Between 2K and 4K, yes, your eyes will not be able to tell the difference easily or if you have various eye conditions, but between a 4K to a 1K you can tell the difference after a long exposure time, especially if you like taking pictures on your phone or viewing and the text is also sharper, and on larger screens that are around 5.5"+ if you have excellent 20/20+ eyesight, you CAN TELL the difference. In regards to battery consumption, since the SoC will be using less energy, aka more power efficient, it will balance out, although we will have to wait and see until the unit is available for the rest of the details ;-)

4K is rediculous, 19 Jan 20164K is not for smarthpones or phablets only uses to much ene... moreand your research about 400 dpi comes from where? the late Steve Jobs, with retina display. This "theory" of which is all it is, has been disproved a long time ago!
Many humans can see way more details than that. If you give a someone a 2K another a 4k and another person a FHD screen, with same size, for a period of time, the people with the higher resolution will be able to tell the difference once on the lower resolution screen.
So please, stop parroting things without investigating further. The limit that researchers are now seeing, is around the 8K limit! They eye adjusts for the higher details.
Just like people in the pacific islands could tell a huge amount of colours, as a study had shown, while "westerners" could not tell the subtle differences in the variations.
So please, do not impose on to others your own opinions, since that is what it is, an option and not a fact.
Have fun :)

Yes many are using 6s+ but there are much more 6s users. LG must be wise to follow the trend, by releasing a 5.5" and 4.7 models, i prefer 4.7 to 5" size. But for those who want bigger they can go for G5+.

Well I'm waiting really enthusiastically to see this battle between the S7 & G5, but finally I hope that both will be great! ? And in a flagship and of 2016, every single specs are extremely important! But having said that, I will support/prefer the one of them that will include the expandable storage (SD CARD) and to mention just one thing, otherwise without an SD the 4K video feature, doesn't make really sense!!!!!!!?

If this becomes true, I am sad to see a departure of the volume and power keys from the back to the sides.
This was something I adored with my LG G2 since the beginning.
It is easy to change volume when you are in a call, your finger rests in that position, when you take your phone out of your pocket you can press the power button and - my favourite - when my phone is in my pocket, I can only use one hand to press the volume keys and mute the sound of an incoming call.
I am sad to see this going. Maybe I will buy a LG G4 instead of the G5.

I think LG would be stupid to think they can get away with a 2900mah battery and an easily removable battery gimmic on a 5.6 inch smartphone. Why would someone want to carry an extra battery in their pocket when you can get smartphones with 4000mah battery with the same specs? I would prefer a bigger non removable battery than a smaller removable one. I am a V10 user, and love LG phones but they definitely needs to step up when it comes to battery life.
