US court bans sales of Samsung devices that aren't on sale anymore

19 January, 2016
The ruling comes as a consequence of the Korean company's long patent fight with Apple.

.alpha, 20 Jan 2016Samsung should be fined the amount it stole from American c... moreYou are probably that much of an iFan that you actually believe yourself. Either that, or you work for Apple. Either way, your statement proves you to be nothing more than an ignoramus. There is nothing counterfeit about Samsung phones, there is simply an issue with regard to some patents, which has lead to a court case that, anywhere else in the world, the judge would have seen fit to dismiss. But as this happened in America, the land of litigation, the judge has decided to rule in Apple's favour. Read through the details of the phones that this relates to as well. They are all defunct.

As for your spurious comment about Samsung stealing from American customers, I think you should really look at the exorbitant prices Apple charges before you start throwing stones....

.alpha, 20 Jan 2016Samsung should be fined the amount it stole from American c... moreDon't be such a muppet. You fire out a statement like that with zero understanding of the legal system and how works. It is a far more complex battle and as an iFan, you should be happy with this ruling, it allows Apple to bully more companies that are much smaller that can't afford a costly legal battle against a Goliath such as Apple. Apple will use this president that has been set as a quick way to bully smaller companies into a settlement that favors Apple, irrespective of the facts. Most smaller companies will simply have to conceed to Apple or face being made bankrupt in the proceedings for as long as Apple care to drag it out, and in the end, Apple will simply win the case by means of forfeit of their pray.

This sets a dangerous president that will make the mobile market less diverse and that is not a good thing, I don't want to have a choice of smartphone that is limited to a large or small iPhone. By removing a key player such as Samsung, it will cause a slump in innovation and allow companies like Apple to sell you the cheapest collection of components and features for a very premium price.

Judge Koh despite being the judge will eventually be overturned on everthing
you can Google this bit I have been follwing it

"The number of judges who have now found Apple's slide-to-unlock patent invalid has increased from 10 to 15 (a Federal Court of Justice panel has five members). The only judge in the world who has held so far that Apple deserved a patent on that concept is Judge Lucy Koh of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Judge Koh has also made public statements that suggest the opposite of sympathy for parties who challenge bad patents. Her position on what constitutes a patentable invention (as opposed to a great but merely psychological idea without any technologically impressive aspect, which is the way I would describe slide-to-unlock as well as rubberbanding) is an outlier among the 16 judges who have ruled on this "invention" so far."

All this wil prove to be is healing grabbing as BANNED, but now SAMSUNG has actually paid Apple in part for this patent , it will be REFUNDED by APPLE to Samsung
