Not ev... morelike i said having free memory space is a priority for lot of people and also if your phone got busted, you can just take the sd card out and pop in to other phone ,you can't always depend on internal memory ,le 1s is a good phone with great specs but it's major con is not having sd card slot and most of the phones around this price range are giving you one even cool pad 3 ,i stopped buying k4 for this one,now i had to stop buying this one for redmi note 3

Bob007, 23 Jan 2016cloud computing is still not a thing in in india, most peopl... moreWell I believe it's more like a personal preference. Not everyone has 10gb music in their phones. I like to store those bigger libraries in my PC and only favourite tracks find their place in phone. Similarly I keep only those videos which I haven't seen yet. Then they also get shift to PC.
See the whole point is everything has it's merits and demerits. My preference will be smooth performance and 23 gb would do for me.
While Redmi might suit users like you. So it depends individual to individual.
Well I don't think the time is too far when this Chinese manufacturers fight will give consumer more advantage. It's the start of 2016 and by the end we will be having some 3gb/64gb device. (thinking of LeECO and MI both releasing Le1s+, Redmi Note 4 with this configuration).
And yes OTA's are getting bigger XD

AnonD-433808, 22 Jan 2016Bob, as per my opinion a person can manage in 23 gb space b... morecloud computing is still not a thing in in india, most people store their stuff on sd card, which is crucial for any company if they want to release a phone here ,the space you gonna use on a bigger processor like the one on le 1s will be different to a smaller processor phone like redmi 1s
i have playlist of songs which is 10gb itself ,add and add in apps which tend to occupy space, plus you camera videos ,this phone shoots 4k which is gonna occupy some space, and handful of favorite movies or a tv series and those ota updates are getting bigger with each version of android os ,if you go by current trend 32 gb space won't be enough either 64 gb or sd card slot,i would buy this phone even if it had a second hybrid slot ,leco guys kinda missed on that, once redmi 3 comes out this phone will be lost

Every new company entering the market will give their best.
Remember what Xiaomi did with Mi 3. Let me remind you gentlemen that the reason why Xiaomi became so popular was because they provided best specs in low cost, for which they said we don't advertise much and use that money to make our products better.
Now when Xiaomi has acquired a brand image(oops!), they defy their very own principle. They don't give fast charging or better chipset until a rival appears. This is quite evident with the fact that they launched Redmi Note 2 and 3 in such a short duration. They will surely put fast charging in their next Redmi Note 4.
NOW SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME howcome it suddenly becomes(I'm sure it will) manageable for Xiaomi to include more features in just after few months.
Gone are the good days when companies like Nokia, Sony Ericsson(loved those walkman earbuds) used to give earpieces bundled with phone. In the shadow of marketing gimmicks they have taken away added features & add their very own pathetic bloatware.
Take for eg. X company says my phone supports fast charging but it is not included. LOL!
If these custom UI giver companies have to find a place then they have to do a bit more atleast on hardware side, as they are not going to upgrade android anyway XD

Bob007, 22 Jan 2016if you look at overall spec, redmi note 3 is a better device... moreBob, as per my opinion a person can manage in 23 gb space by means of cloud services and those monstrous HDD which they bought in a great deal last season. But what makes a phone truly long runner is Ram and it's processor.
Take for eg. I have Redmi 1s and total space I have got is (5.5 usable + 14 gb sdCard) approx. This is still much lesser than 23 GB.
And just look at the build quality + Fast charging(to compare rivals). Just think of it as, in order to give phone a slim profile, they gave fast charging rather than increasing the thickness of the device.

Bob007, 21 Jan 2016no sd card slot and i've just checked some reviews even tho... morecheck out its price buddy.. 10999/- and by axis bank debit or credit card 9999/-
Now .. talking about SD card slots , they are focusing on building complete ecosystem , making sure that no third party applications are added to it like an external SD card or anything... battery is 3000mah which also comes with fast charging adapter.. about USB type-c , this is the new era in which every devices are trying to do so , like it happened with nexus and one plus being a such high cost phone. so yes, i would say its a brilliant phone with this price range.
