Either that should have not been launched as it is just blown up version of s6 edge or it should hvae come with S-pen because it launched alongside Note 5.
So my best guess is Samsung will launch next year S7 edge plus with S-pen. Hence they launching regular model alongside S7. Makes sense that way. The edge version with 5.1 inch screen looks ridiculously tiny.

If view from tye front, tye 5.5" S7 edge will not look like much at all compare to others 5.5" flat screen smartphone. Look at S6 edge, its screen actually looks smaller than 5.1" in real life due to the curve screen. Now, you get it.

Believe it or not, they are still people out there like me who prefer smaller phones. I love the look of the S6 Edge and it's size. So I was waiting for the new S7 Edge believing it will have the same size. I don't understand Samsung's move increasing it to 5.5", especially if there will be a plus version which is only 0.2" or whatever larger.

They decided to make another variant (5.5'inch) just not to lose customers that want to buy such a screen size phones according to Samsung every inch matters as well as new buyers. If you do a quick search on gsmarena new phones list (other brands) you'll find too many with this specific size, so see it as antagonism.

You are not understanding what I am trying to say. Why do they do a 5.5" Edge version if there will be plus version which will be only 0.2" or just bit more larger? They should have made the regular one 5.1" and the plus version 5.7" or even 6". So people who don't like phablets can choose the 5.1" one and people who like phablets can go for the plus version. Same as the S6 Edge versions. But now it looks like they both are phablets.

If you need a phablet, there is a Note 5, S6 Edge+ and the upcoming S7+ and S7 Edge+ with 5.7" or 6" if the rumors are correct. So why this 5.5" S7 Edge which is just a bit smaller than the plus version? Yes this is a shit idea from Samsung. They should have kept it 5.1" same as the S7 so you can choose between them.

Some of us want large phones. I happen to be one of them.

I actually hope Samsung releases a 6 inch premium phone soon.
