You will probably see Mi5 five to six months from now, or even worse you'll never see one unless you live in China. Remember Mi4 ? It's only found in articles.

I have at least 5 friends who wanted to try Xiaomi after I told them how good Xiaomi is. One of them is Samsung fanatic interested in Mi4. But then.....the product never showed up. 3 finally bought Huawei, 1 switched to Oneplus, and the Samsung fan.....well....ended up with Samsung J5. Many people gave up on waiting. I gave up waiting for Mi5 4 months ago and bought 1 plus instead, and I never regretted my decision.
Now, Mi5 is to launch on Feb 24. All I say is "Good luck on waiting wherever you are"

Xiaomi is too SLOW to make their phones available in other countries.
They should release their new ones as soon as possible otherwise the cake is taken by other manafactures.

"Expansion of Xiaomi is a joke.

They still couldn't have launched at all the countries they announced at their 2014 expansion list. Mexico, Russia, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam is still waiting.

They doesn't offer best products they have at those official markets. They released Mi 4i for international markets which is turned out a letdown, no suprise they couldn't dare to sale it in China. Instead they upgraded it with SD808 and released at same price point with Mi 4i in their home country.

Brazil got Xiaomi only middle of past year and they have only Redmi 2.

No official market of Xiaomi got Mi Note and/or Mi Note Pro. Very few of them get Mi 4, long long time after its initial release.

While they has been released Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 3 Pro in China, they have shamelessly released so called *Prime* Redmi Note 1 in India which is they declared as second home of Xiaomi."

              Couldn't agree any more.
The demand for xiaomi phones is high but people just can't buy it.
I really don't understand its marketing strategy, it is just....TOO SLOW.
I believe xiaomi has the potential to become a big player in this industry, but again, they are just to SLOW. People can't wait and as the consequence they pick other products that are available and readily in time when they want it.

Poor management I would say, I might be wrong though.

This is a very kind request from xiaomi to make available MI5 ASAP in India after its launch if you want to have nice market for your much avaited phone. Else people will be moving to have different brand rather to wait for soooooooooo......much time and also different companies like LeECO(LeMax) would launch a much better phone at a much lesser price than your MI5. Thanks!!

Funny to see how Xiaomi seems to show lack of serious interest in other Asian markets. They seem to sell only a few phone models in other markets, esp. the low budget ones.
Xiaomi seems to think nobody can afford their top line models while Samsung, Sony, iPhone, LG and others are sweeping the markets with all their priciest models as soon as they arrive. Either they think that they will experience a tough sale for the upper market compared to big names like Samsung, or they are only interested in the low-price segment.

Xiaomi seems to be following some real sick strategy if it all it is a strategy and if its not, their development team is real slow to take this long for an advanced version unlike other makers. Till date I was waiting and browsing for Xiaomi Mi5 however I would rather trust someone else than a company who enjoys the unnecessary wait time
