not a basher though i tell you i'd be the first in line once they have it back on sale. it's like everything i need's on this phone, only the mediatek chipset ruined it.

Isn't this supposed to be Sony's mid-range line? Here in Finland it costs 499€ off contract. Doesn't sound mid-range to me.

Do not buy this phone, there is an inherent issue with the handset that sony refuses to address.
after a few days of use , the phone starts to shut down unexpectedly. the only way to get it on again is to plug it onto the charger. (time and date reset)
this happens every time.
happened to me in south africa on the cell c carrier network. after doing some research and contacting sony directly, it really looks like they either dont care about fixing the problem, or they know about it and cannot find a way to fix it.
they say it is software related. which is nonesense because this issue has been around for over 6 months ., im sure an update would have been sent out within a month if they knew exactly what was causing the issue.
no doubt this is an excellant phone.
its just too bad that the dual sim varient does not work as it should

bad experience with m5.. after 15days of LIGHT USE ONLY (2min subway surfer, text and call) this happend to mine:
autoshutdown. never turns on unless plugged to the charger IN THE OUTLET
when steady touched for few second (5s) screen nobbles and fluctuates
opens files on its own
........
returned back to the seller and i requested to replace other model and unit NOT TO BE REPLACED with THE SAME UNIT coz it would happened still the same. i think this is an isolated factory problem case with m5 and m5dual coz of so many bad comments with same experience as u read in the gsm arena with m5 reviews.
