Does the Microsoft Lumia 950 screen have clipping issues?

25 January, 2016
The AMOLED screen may be need better tuning as it seems to turn near-black pixels pitch black.

930 and 730 were plagued with OLED issues...similar thing happened with 950...i dunno why Microsoft keeps using OLED panels.

You remember back to the iPhone 4? the aerial used to kill calls if you put pressure on it. the IP6 bent, has did the first batch of the Huawei Nexus phones. At the outset the Galaxy 6 edge screen was glitchy as hell for side loading apps with.

new phones, especially new OS build cause problems. I don't think it is a case of the amount of 'time' MS have invested

It took them so long to bring these flagship phones out. There is no excuse to fail this much on software and hardware. Clearly shows how much effort ms is putting into this.

fight for the IPS LCD 4k display of sony experia.
i know that it is impractical to you to buy but me its not good quality of camera and also video recording oh come on.

samsung has the s amoled display but i hate the way they release phone i know more phones more options but it is not good for the others like for example i will buy note 5 for today after moths they will release again another phone where is the place for my phone if that is their strategy. My phone will cry after it sees a new samsung version. how i wish also that all samsung phone will be upgradable to lolipop or marshmalow like motoral phones/nexus.

Ot isn't worth it? I'm still on the fence of whether I like it more than my 1520 or not.
It has Edge browser, so I can see all the stuff Chrome can see.
The USB Type-C connector is great on its flip-flop connectibility with the phone.
The 3000mA charger really does charge from dead-to-full in an hour.
And when I don't want to plug it in at all, Qi wireless right out of the box, drop it on the pad while I'm playing Xbox One.
I alway thought 2k+ displays were a waste, but now that I see how smoothly rendered text and photos are, I wouldn't want to go back to 1080.

AnonD-362866, 25 Jan 2016how do you know they source them from Samsung? I honestly d... moreSamsung are the leading suppliers of SuperAMOLED displays ( I guess they are the only ones , there are P-OLED and other types of OLED's but S-AMOLED is exclusive to Samsung).
They presently have the best display amongst any smartphone ( Winners : Note 5/ S6 Edge Plus) but they also sell their panels to other manufacturers and the ones sold could possibly belong to different price bands . The one MS bought could be from the cheaper band so it may have problems typical for older SAMOLED panels .

I can't see anything below 4 with my lumia 930. But who cares? I still love this screen! Probably even better as this could save more battery life.

so the screen is too good at doing blacks? if you can see below 3 that means its good doesnt it?
or have i got this completly wrong?

the puple tint is most likely the clear view tech (for better sunlight reading), as you can see that in the proximity and light sensor window.
