Our eyes are not limited at 30fps at all, and you can totally tell the difference between a game that's running at 30fps and one that's running at 60 easily.

Feed yourself, if you don't have anything to eat, go ask for public help.
You may take it as offensive but it wasn't, "Ignorance" isn't insulting word, it is what I'm thinking about your knowledge and capacity.
Sorry but it seems below 0 (Zero)...

And there is nothing to do but education, but I'm afraid it may help to you.

You were trolling mine comments as like as owner one of those companies, you wasn't the target or subject but you took every single word personal.
Besides of that you didn't have any single assert that proofs your argument only just blah blah blah's...
Still you have nothing but smart way to insult people.
    So, FEED YOURSELF.

          What a smart ass...
So, if you are not millonaire then you can't use a nice phone?
What the hell you know about these stuff?
          Let me say...
          ABSOLUTE NOTHING.

Budget phone, cheap phone, blah blah blah, bullsh*t, more blah blah blah, ferrari sh*t, much more blah blah blah...
Explain me How the f.ck a gpu could increase unit price so much?
So you saying me, 3gb ram and MALI 450 GPU is cheaper than 2gb ram but MaliT720MP3?
Then how the hell MediaTek did that on MT6753?

As long as people like you exists (meaning is mentality), poor people remain damned with that crap phones.
You really need to wake UP.

By the way, I have f*king S6 and I'm writing this for people who have not much money.
Everyone deserves good, not only big ass rich bastarts.
Do not defend these companies while they sucking your blood.

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2016But interestingly... They don't make phones only for you..... moreIts funny how you're telling me to wake up and not assume everyone is like me, when you're the one assuming everyone needs a GPU. A more powerful GPU does increase the price of the SoC, if not directly, then via the profit margins. You can't just undercut until it's dirt cheap, else you will end up going out of business. The profit made from selling things get eaten up by stuff like paying the salary etc.

There are alternatives, but everything has its price. You can't have the cake and eat it too.

As for the RAM, it's been a practice for a long time to disguise weaker GPUs with higher RAM amount. It's simply a marketing tactic.

I love this move. We might see more Lenovo, Huawei, or Xiaomi selling phones on the cheap. $50 Chinese entry-level phones should be appropriate for emerging markets this year. I have been geeking about if Google will ever initiate Android One's for under $50. At this point any company to employ these new chipsets could just push boundaries a bit further

Power consumption? These new chipsets will not interest anyone unless the mobile devices created from them will be able to last a full day (if not many full days) of usage from poor quality lithium-ion batteries (assuming these handsets were made totally in China).

media tek can keep on releasing as many cheap or expensive chipsets it may like but the only issue is that only people who either can spend a lot or those who prefer to stick wih the same software version their phone came with will buy a mediatek phone because the majority of mobile companies don't update mediatek based phones at all just as Samsung doesn't care about low end exynos try looking for any CM mods for mediatek phones .... even dual core snapdragon phones get CM builds

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2016It is impossible to understand these companies... Why they... moreMediatek chipset and gpu combo usually never focus to be super high end like flagship phone. Mediatek is more into offering affordable solution of chipset for smartphone manufacturer. They are the only one who make the cheapest of the cheapest. Of course there are a few others but no popular as Mediatek. All smartphone using mediatek usually priced incredibly lower than its snapdragon, exynos, kirin or a9 counterpart.

How are people saying that the GPUs are weak?

                              In Manhattan 3.0 tests:

                              Mali T860MP2 = 7.1fps
                              Adreno 405 = 5.8 fps
                              Mali T860MP = 3.8fps
                              Adreno 305 = 1.8fps

I think T860MP is sufficient for 720p and T860MP2 is sufficient for 1080p for most purposes.

H.265 decoder is a nice move.. 50$ is very cool.. would love to see those devices soon and will recommend to my people in rural India..

at least now antutu score skewed to GPU power I heard. will greatly affected SoC with weak GPU provider. cuz antutu score often showed on rumor and stuff
I still prefer half of core count but with double [MP] count MTK use

An intelligent move. So you will have many orders from manufacturers of low-cost phones.
