Active users as in those who are forced to have a Gmail account to be able to use an Android phone and download apps. lol. I bet more than half of these so called active users don't even open their email accounts. lol.

Though GMail has really good spam filter. It rarel ymakes mistakes and it filters out 99,99% of spam.

          Define "active" in "active users".....

I thought anyone with an android phone got a gmail account - using it for mail or not...

Anyway, maybe it depends on what things you have subscribed to with your address.

Spam detection on Gmail is miles ahead of both Yahoo and Hotmail (or outlook or whatever new name MS sticks to the service). Hotmail is the worst, you can't use it to do anything meaningful since it will mark legitimate email as spam but let the blue pills mail go through.

              Plus, Inbox is really good.

It's astonishing to see so many people using Gmail, when in fact it's one of the worst email provider on the market. I think only Yahoo Mail is worse.
Anyway, there are much better working, better looking emails out there. (Live/Outlook Mail for example)

Because they force people to have an account to use an android phone. Mine is useless.
