True - they have great quality when comparing 8MP sensors, but nowhere near 12, 13, 16, 21 or 41MP cameras.
Important point, majority of the camera sensors were made by Sony, except 41MP Nokia and 16MP Samsung's ISOCELL on S5. So basically the fact is that all other camera sensors were made by Sony with same specifications - the only difference being MP count.
What that means? The discussion of crapple camera being comparable is pointless. They always had the same "quality camera", but with less MP.. Why? Because is much cheaper to make 8MP camera than 16 or 21MP.. and apple is more desperate for profit than anyone else hence they saved few $ there.
At the same time Samsung's ISOCELL 16MP was by far superior to Sony 16MP IPX20xx, however much more expensive, therefore Samsung switched back to Sony sensor in S6.

Because Samsung's Amoled screen has PenTile subpixels which make the screen pixelated. Therefore Samsung's Amoled screens require higher screen resolution to hide the problem. (S3 vs S4 screen, for example).
LCD displays are not affected by this problem.

Considering the quality of phone cameras these days and the deamand for thinner and thinner phones there's only so much they can do. G4 is thicker (3mm thicker at the camera point). Z5 is thicker (not by much which is impressive for Sony considering the sensor quality). Anything else has a non comparable camera in overall quality or a protruding camera hump. Do some research before you slanderise a great company, you tool.

On a typical phone with a 5.2" display give or take a little, you can see small dark lines if you look carfully. I hace owned phones that are less than 720p and the S3, S4, S5 and S6 edge. The difference between 720 and 1080 is obvious, from 1080 to 1440 is very hard to see, but when you display the same image on each device sized to the screens native res, you can see a difference, I can not put my finger on what the difference is, but I think it is sharper divides between items with vastly different colours, an example would be the small branches on a tree set against a nice blue sky and green grass on the bottom half of the image. I think going 4K is stupid, but fun to have it.

I am not, I never flamed apple about the MP on there phones, but I have flamed them for other things. I never really stopped to think about why they stayed at 8MP, It wasn't till I read about the S7 and the 12MP they "downgraded too" that made me think about it, then I went out and learned a bit. Then I thought about the high res 16+mp camera and the res they take a picture at. It then dawned on me that a QHD screen was only 3.67MP. So anything above that was almost a waste (unless you have a 4K TV or a very expensive monitor or plan to crop pictures). Most people who do a great deal of photo editing will do it as a hobby and will probably own a decent D-SLR camera, so why enter the MP race just to have the highest number of pixels when the overall image quality will suffer.
FYI, I don't think I ever referenced Apple in my post, you just assumed that because I was signing praises for Samsung, I was a FanBoy, not the case. I respect good hardware, and devices that are built with some thought in the design.

go for 5.2" and solve the battery problem at least 3000mah
And for Note 6 go for 6" in compact body and 4000mah battery
every thing is perfect screen camera fast charging call quality sound quality build quality except Battery life.................wishes........

Samsung hires stupid designers. For so many years, the hump is still there.
Even iPhone is rumors to have NO hump.
And, Sony do not have humps on its 21MP camera, great work.

I wouldn't settle for anything less than 1080. Going over that may be a waste but that wouldn't bother me one bit.

In fact, even 720p screen resolution is enough for phones. Human eye barely can see the difference. Anything above 720p is nothing more than just waste of GPU performance and battery life. These are more important things than the gimmicky QHD.
1080p is good and enough for monitors.

Stop and think about this for a moment. You are obsessed with bigger numbers, more mega pixels. This is nothe a downgrade in camera really. The new camera will have better low light ability while not using as much space for a picture. It is only a downgrade if you think about it in pure numbers. In reality the S7's phones screen is only 3.67MP, so anything higher than that is not really noticed on a phones screen. To say it another way, it is important to remember, though, that megapixel rating is not always the best indication of a camera’s capabilities, especially for smaller image sensors like those used in camera phones. A larger image sensor allows for more efficient light collection, leading to sharper pictures with less noise. Regardless of the size of the image sensor, however, trying to pack more megapixels onto the same size image sensor will result in grainier images. Very few people even own a screen that is 2560x1440, even a 4k screens is only a little under 9MP and 6K is 19MP. You will simply never notice that benefit when compared to a 19MP camera with a larger sensor that takes in more light. The S7's camera will produce pictures far for stunning than the S6 can ever hope to achieve.

(If you want to update something, at first, check the changelog, and if you like the changes that the new version has, then make a backup of the current system or program, then update it manually. And if you don't like it, you can switch back to the older version from your backup.)
