AnonD-4254, 02 Feb 2016Hi,
I'm using 600D, but I've been told by many people that... moreI've been there, 600D doesn't have professional grade auto focus system; the delay is the combination of both lens and camera auto focus system. Try using a prime red ring lens with the same camera body and it will reduce the noise caused by the motor and mostly likely have a delay of less than 2 second delay.

Hmm, 03 Feb 2016Maybe you should learn to use your equipment....... With all due respect, I know my device inside out. I'm a Pro, ok?
When it can't autofocus well in videos, then it can't autofocus well in videos. Simple. Its a product deficiency and no need to blame me for it.
Of course, I use manual focus, but all this becomes a bit too busy for me... How do I hold the camera when my fingers are on autofocus ring on the lens... Can you imagine??
@ICE : Yes, I've heard of the Dual Pixel Autofocus, and I heard its better than normal.
The only thing is, they ain't full frame... and spending serious cash now for a minor upgrade doesn't make sense for me... Especially since I'm into photography so much.
I do hope they have a 5D Mark IV in making with Dual Pixel Autofocus, and that stays with me for years with happiness....
I'm not a fan of the landscape/ portrait design of this 1Dx and Nikon D4 and all... I like 5D more.

AnonD-4254, 02 Feb 2016Somebody please tell me if it means that this DSLR can prop... moreThen maybe you should be doing manual focusing when you're on video mode. Or get a proper recording camera. DSLRs are built with still images as priority.

for sure this monster has better focus and .......
and most important:manual setting are far better than auto,it can be from focus to WB,iso or ...... but that's hard and is for expert user.so auto mode can be better for amateur or under semi expert.so practice makes prfect and after many times can learn about it and .....
[ in mobile is like above too,at least for me when I caught picture with m7 or m8 most of my frindes sucked their thumb!!!!!!!!!)
PHOTOGRAPHY NEEDS ELEGANCE&VERVE AND PRACTICE AND THESE ARE MOST IMPORTANT THAN "FF CAMERA ".
I hope that each who is in photography love can do it and......

AnonD-491490, 02 Feb 2016What DSLR do you use?
It's most likely that it is going... moreHi,
I'm using 600D, but I've been told by many people that mostly all DSLRs are so bad at autofocus that any person using manual control is better than it...
While videos are being recorded, if I autofocus, it just hunts up and down, and it takes 4-5 seconds for a decent fix. And this happens when the videos are being recorded, so the blur-sharp sequence gets recorded and it ruins the videos.
This complaint is only for videos.
For photos, let me tell you the autofocus of all DSLRs I've used, is much faster than my actual needs!

AnonD-4254, 02 Feb 2016Somebody please tell me if it means that this DSLR can prop... moreWhat DSLR do you use?
It's most likely that it is going to have the best autofocus system of entire Canon cameras. Don't worry about it.

This looks very good, wishing to see its performance soon. 4K at 60FPS is unbelieveable, this means that next 5D model will probably have the same feature.

Somebody please tell me if it means that this DSLR can properly focus during video shooting....
I too own a Canon DSLR, but I end up losing focus almost all the time,.. and the inbuilt autofocus is superslow, even my phone is faster.
